If somebody made a bid for Rubin?

Whilst Rubin rightly gained the praise and plaudits for a superb last minute strike last night, with the game aired across Sky, it may have again put him in the teacher ‘shop’ window. With fees this summer in the Championship rising to over £22m, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Club receives potential tentative enquiries about Rubins availability.

So the question I pose is, ‘if an offer for Rubin was to come in for say £12m rising to £15m say, what do you think the Club would do, and what offer would it take for an ‘acceptable’ fee to be agreed. Personally, I dont believe a suitable offer will come in , but we need to consider and be prepared for all possibilities over the next two weeks. If an offer of £15/17m was to be made , rising to £20m with a sell on fee included, I would expect the Club to accept.

Not trying to generate any false rumours, but Rubin last night made a huge, game changing statement when he in particular came on for the last 30 mins and would have not gone unnoticed by others. The Club needs to be prepared and ready for potential late interest and possible offer.

Same as any player if at the right price the club will sell. Anything over £8 million and I think the club will be interested especially as we always seem to sell cheap. Hopefully they have learnt the lesson of previous
