WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Salech is not the player most fans think he is. He went missing for most of the game this evening, he very rarely challenges in the air and he's very rarely in the right position.

We put plenty of good crosses into the box especially from corners and he's never there. Two of the corners went straight through. Then in the 94th minute Davies made a great run down to the byline and looped the ball over the keeper across the line and Salech was nowhere to be seen leaving a Wrexham defender to almost score an OG totally unchallenged.

We're not going to sign a new first choice striker, but he does need genuine competition to push him.

I hate to say this but Moore looked head and shoulders better than Salech tonight.

I thought Salech was poor, Moore completely outshone him unfortunately. Having said that, our crossing tonight was dreadful, constantly behind players in the box or hitting the first defender. Willock and Tanner were poor in that respect, but the rest of the team were just as culpable. We are crying out for some pace and a winger who can threaten knocking it past a defender and getting to the byline.

Moore is a class act at this level At the same age as Salech is now Moore was still playing non league football and actually not doing that well Salech is way above his standard at the same age Still learning but agree he was poor last night but again really poor service He does need someone with him to take some of the attention off him from defenders

More has scored 102 goals in 308 football league games Cardiff Fans have seen over a third of those goals as he has scored them for us or against us He seems to like playing at our stadium as well

2 up front would be a better fit for Salech

He won a few headers but nobody was up there with him to collect the ball from it

Kieffer is still very good; if we had Kieffer and they had Salech, we'd have battered them.

A Kieffer or a Chopra type would be a better option; he's too easy to mark out of the game at this level.

If Salech continues to get out muscled by centre backs at this level, we're going to struggle to score enough goals.

When we got relegated 2 seasons ago, we didn't score enough and conceded sh1tloads. We urgently require quality additions now, up front and at centreback.

Maybe it's just since his injury but I have noticed him ducking out of almost anything header wise that isn't 70/30 in his favour and even then it's unusual to see him jumping for the ball. He needs to cut out getting pulled up for a foul as much as he does, Moore has the same issue a lot when he plays for Wales.

Your correct can anyone give an example of a decent centre or pass to him that gave him a chance yo score? Think people will struggle and yhat is the problem he needs proper service at one point he pointed to tanner where to pass to him and tanner failed again to make the pass thats the story of city at times no forward momentum or ideas

Yes I can. We put in 3 or 4 great corners right in the 6 yard box and he was no where near any of them. He also stood and watched their defender clear the ball off the line via the post in injury time when he should have bust his arse to get on the end of it.

It's easy to blame the service he gets and I'm not saying it's great but his movement in the box is awful and he won't challenge for the ball in the air.
