BBM on transfers

Just going to put this out here as the transfer window goes on.

Do not attach much weight to what BBM says about transfers.

He was asked in his presser the other day if any transfers were close and he said "I don't know".

He did know, because Scanlon coming back was made official a couple of days later.

He's a difficult person to read and gives nothing away on transfers.

There’s a good chance he actually doesn’t know because I assume he’s not the one negotiating contracts and transfer fees/loan fees.

Managers never tell the truth during the transfer window and why would they? It’s all a game of poker, to get the right deals in place and hope no one swoops in to do the deal instead.

Last year we were the big fish in league one, this year that’s not the case and deals for the quality we want are probably harder to do.

Still time to get players in on loans or transfers - would have liked to have seen a few more with the time scale we had .
