Pity the train people didn't announce the special until after the 800 tickets were sent back.

Wonder whats driven the sales? Would expect 20k but its 1st game with complaints about player sighnings Monday night and on TV! Is it feel good factor from promotion or Hollywood is in town ? Just surprised its a full house basically.

I think there are several reasons.

First home game against Wrexham in years, school holidays so kids don't have to be up the next day, good weather (won't be too hot or freezing cold) and obviously our first game back in the Championship in over a year.

Monday night kick off sort of helps because most people won't be doing other things, like they would if it was on a Saturday or Sunday.

First game. Wrexham is a sort of "derby" even though it's not really. I predicted a full house as soon as the fixtures came out, I don't think it's going to quite be full but over 30 probably. While the weather does bring about extra fans you can get a full house midweek with the right opposition no problem (Chelsea last year). Hopefully we put on a good showing and get the average up for the rest of the year

I believe the big crowd is the holllywood effect. As said many times it pisses me off when we have big attendances because the other team is the attraction. Our grounds to big for us to keep it to just people who are there for city, Hollywood tourists this time, be sane for West Ham back to normal then for everyone else.

Your usually pretty close on the money but I also think it's the city bounce from last season 50/50 with Holywood b.llocks plus there north wales which also has something to do with it enjoy jonesy

To be fair, I don't know. I'm just going off how the stadium plan looks on online ticketing.

I'm sure Annis will know more in the morning and will give an update :thumbright:

Hard to know if all seats are available.
I just counted 371 available with 25 hours to kick off.

It will be bouncing tomorrow night
Amazing start for new season, lets fill it up every game. :bluebird:

Nearly 30,000 for an 8pm Monday night game live on TV says everything about the feeling around the club right now.

Well I'm certainly not going tonight because of the Hollywood boyos being in the stadium and catching a glimpse of them. I'm hoping we spank the arses off there players and get our season off to a flyer in front of the Sky cameras.

Looks like just a few in family stand and back two rows of Upper Ninian left.

Re: “ WOW COME ON BLUEBIRDS / WREXHAM HOME UPDATE “

I wonder if some of the extra tickets sold are Arsenal and Man City fans because they were obviously in Cardiff yesterday and may have decided to stay an extra night to go to this game?

Apart from the Wrexham end I cannot see this NOT selling out.

The club have opened up the last three rows at the very back of the Ninian 2nd Tier.

A very rare occurrence.

Looking forward to tonight’s game, which seems to have attracted a lot of interest because the ‘Mouseketeers’ are in the bright lights of the big (to them) City!

We just need to concentrate on ourselves and not the ‘Hollywood hype’! :bluebird: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:
