Matthew Apter 21 years old in 2 months Signed for Cardiff just over a year ago as a free agent.


3 Jul 2025 — Matthew Apter joined Cardiff City FC in July 2025 after being released by Everton’s U21’s. During his time with the Toffees, the combative midfielder was a captain.

After making zero appearances for the Bluebirds, Apter has today left them and once again a free agent.

Cardiff's Under-21s account confirmed the news on social media, saying: "U21 | Midfielder Matty Apter has departed the Club this summer.

"We'd like to wish Matty all the very best for his next step and thank him for his efforts."
