Roko Simic 23 yrs old next month ,joined Cardiff City 2 yrs ago and apparently City paid in the £millions??????


On 30 August 2024, Šimić signed a four-year contract with Cardiff City.

Two days later, he was loaned to Kortrijk in Belgium for one season.The loan was terminated on 6 January 2025.

Simic joined Cardiff from Salzburg in the summer of 2024, with Erol Bulut seemingly distancing himself away from the transfer at the time, but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club??

This was totally down to the Hierarchy and had nothing to do with City’s management.

Was immediately sent to Tans other Club but got injured.

Simic has Cost Cardiff City a fortune in wages, yet No appearances.

Lokomotiva are prepared to take Simic on a free.

If we investigated limited funded clubs who took a punt on strikers for a few million I would not be surprised if 80 to 90 % were failures.

Basic skilled strikers sadly attract inflated fees & wages.

Clubs any striker is a silver bullet to success.

All decent strikers are already at bigger clubs .

So I understand the punt on this lad and others over the years .

I bet all clubs have numerous tales of woe to tell about money wasted on strikers over the years.

You only need to speak to a Sheffield Wednesday supporter and mention the name Ugbo. They paid £2m from memory and he has taken them for a ride over the last two years- downed tools. Has nos been offloaded this summer to a club in Cyprus.

Velikonja made no sense, he was smashing goals in for the reserves unbelievably so, yet never got a game for us really, and the scraps he had he didn’t look the player he did in reserves.

Seems to have made a career doing just that, when he plays he scores but limited game time at most clubs he was at.

Simic was a strange one, we had some Spanish guy the same as these pair, Gurrero or something, another who came with a goalscoring record and amounted to nothing
