“ BBM at the Club / Supporters Meeting “

Thu Aug 13, 2026 7:45 am

The other night as usual along with Club officials BBM attended:

BBM was very very quite, did hardly any input, he usually can’t stop.

Seemed elsewhere and did not talk about his plans like he usually does??

Only thing he mentioned was that “ The World Cup had messed his plans up.”

Every Club was in the same position.

Please please don’t go down that road BBM, I have high Respect for you.

The Truth is your not being backed.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Anniis your right...I believe there was never any real intention to sign dahl just a smoke screen probably wouldn't t agree sell on clause
Knowing the move had no legs same supposedly signing Mhoore and the year before Bale they do it every year.

We never even met the player or made contact with him.

We never even went over there or put any official bid in.

We used Glen Williams to put it all out.

I 100% believe we had NO intention to buy him.

This doesn't sound good . I am not surprised though.
The world cupnwas planned years ago ??

Sounds like he's also frustrated with how this window has progressed so far

It's so hard to know what is going on behind the scenes. Is he being backed by above or not. Are the recruitment staff on it or have they let BBM down. If his whole demeanour has changed then it's a bit of a worry.

I'm wondering if he's just been too ambitious with his targets. He's gone for young players that are more likely to go to a bottom end premier league team or at least a West Ham over us. Plus, if those same young players see our complete lack on investment thus far, are they really gonna want to come here?

With BBM being such a fan of giving youngsters a chance, it possibly also puts the more experienced pro off coming here too (just look at what happened to Wintle after winning POTY). Not that any experienced players were ever on our 'go get' list.

Who knows. This pre-season has seriously been a damp squid so far. Feeling very disillusioned by it all.

Don't think we would have bought anyone starring in the world cup anyway. Squad does look thin in certain areas .

No he hasn't been backed.
He just won us promotion and we sell a paltry
14000 season tickets
Bradford City have sold more

A lack of new signings will not have helped with season ticket sales.

That's honestly a crazy amount of presumptions to take from him having a quite day. There's a million reasons why that could have been. Ive only recently joined the forum and I joined because of posts like this. You have a way of shaping stories to match your agenda. I see what Tan meant when he said people on these forums are doing their best to undo the club from Outside.

Before people take total leave of their senses, this is the same BBM that signed a new contract just a couple of weeks ago.

He didn't have to do that.

I watched his press conference after Swindon on Saturday and he seemed in his usual mood.

Sure you got this information in good faith but whoever said it may have been looking for signs that BBM wasn't happy and have managed to convince themselves that's the case.

Vincent Tan should be learning lessons from the myriad of mistakes he's made as owner of this football club rather than worrying about the views of people on a football forum.

Absolutely he should be but he has all the right in the world to state it .... he isn't the only one to think it either. There are swathes of City fans who talk about it pretty openly at games and on social media. But going back to what your saying. We don't know if the club has learned it's lessons as the windows still open. We don't know what targets BBM wants or is getting and we don't know if BBM was nieve with the targets he chose. But this post is absolutely ludicrous. If BBM had been upbeat and excited throughout there probably would have been no post at all. Or a post saying he is nieve for having this attitude.

To be fair, the last post you made was posted three times (by accident I'm sure) which is what they were referring to. So I deleted the two duplicate posts.
