West Ham have smashed the all-time Carabao Cup first-round attendance record.

53,369 at the London Stadium yesterday for the 3-1 win over Portsmouth.

That figure beats the previous record (held by Leeds United) by more than 18,000.

Helped by 9,000 Pompey fans making the trip, but still a huge number for a first-round cup tie.

Fair play to them and the Pompey fans that travelled.
