Without doubt we need signings, everyone agrees on that. I'm sure they will be the right signings too and not just anyone.

Annis, we have both known "Lakey" for a long, long time, for me he's a top guy and has his finger on the pulse as far as the city are concerned. I'm also worried that we are not bringing in players early enough to "bed them in" i've kept out of threads about this but if we don't bring in far better quality than we have, then we will a very long winter.

If there was 25 minutes left of a window some would say the same when in truth the club will have had nearly THREE months to sort signings ready for pre season which has now come and gone. I don't believe for one moment BBM is being backed to what he wanted, he knows if this current squad is up to a top half finish or not with what we got. People think he's been doing nothing for 10 odd weeks because he wants a small squad who will probably be in a fight and all this world cup timescale bollocks is just excuses but we have become immune to that at the media spin over the years and last minute signings who take weeks to get fit so bench it for 4 weeks and come on for ten minutes. BBM toes the party line like all managers that's the truth of it.
It's the same old shit from the club and fans as we all know.
At the end of the day if we are serious about staying up or going for promotion we would have signed players to suit ready and bedded in by now via a pre season and he would have been backed to date with what he wanted to what the clubs vision is this season coming.
Although anything can happen in the next week or whatever. We are playing the likes of kpakio who's not even a div 1 player in my opinion the man can not even pass a ball from A to B half the time and Ng who's not a center back , turn backwards Turnbull who's turns up once every 40 games and so on, which tells me everything right now we got over half a team who are not championship players id say. One week to go and he's saying we are short all over the place numbers wise and he needs players, then he's happy with a small squad the next interview. It's bizarre our club. Although this is just my opinion of course![]()
He will just go elsewhere BBM will at some point despite the all's gravy media interviews because we have f*cking idiots above.

It'll be worth more than it is now because at least then it'll be an informed opinion.
There will also be no need for your endless threads of "WE NEED TO SIGN..." because it'll be over.
So the opinions will have more importance too at the end of the window.

But we need to sign players urgently because our defence is not up to Championship standards
We definitely need a new Centre Back a left back and a right back not wingbacks and a defensive midfielder general

I know every match is different but if yesterday is an indicator of our squad depth, then we do not currently have the experience and quality to finish in the top half of the Championship.
The perceived lack of forward planning (signings) since mid-April is unforgivable. I am quite concerned for us early season and with Wrexham looming, who'll want revenge for dumping them out of the cup last season - they might well sniff an opportunity.
If Tan believes BBM can work a miracle with our threadbare, wet behind the ears squad, then we're in for a painful struggle this season. As always, actions speak louder than words, and its a bit late in the day now.
The window closure in September is irrelevant at this stage.

Well we know the manager has the backing. He put in a £6.2m bid for that Norwegian player - that bid did happen, whatever Monty tells you. So the deadline is not irrelevant.
As for conceding goals, if we concede two or three to Wrexham then it's totally fair to point these things out. But not in a game that felt very much like a friendly.
We went through all this last season when we lost to Newport in the cup. It was an overreaction then and it's an overreaction now.

Would have thought the transfer window is very relevant seeing as lots are worried about players not coming in while its still open? While fo have some sympathy for those wanting players in early as we've seen before its ehen window closes is the time to form an opinion on our squad... but I'm sure of one thing if we do bring in 4 players there will still be complaints the squad is to light?

I hope you too are right and these players do come in, ideally 4 more. I want your confidence and belief but I'm struggling with the time that has lapsed since the end of last season. Worcester usually has the gift of foresight so I'll try not to worry if he says everything is fine and dandy.
I'll likely be one that still complains though even if the 4 do come in before the deadline...coz it will mean they are all youngsters. Fair do's BBM wants young and hungry players but u need a peppering of experience too if you are to cope with the riggers of championship football. We don't have much. Plus, how many of these youngsters will we have to give back? It's not really building a team/squad is it?

Didn't say everything will be alright, I don't know that for sure.
I said judge it at the end of the window, not three weeks before. Don't get why that could be seen as unreasonable or controversial. Whereas it is unreasonable to judge a squad three weeks before a window closes.
