From the one tenuous link I have.. I’ve heard that there’s no others coming in before Wrexham. Caveat being the club keeps everything private (for the better).. so if that changes, then I’ll be a very happy man. But for now, I’ve switched off from chasing rumours on twitter and the forum!

Absolutely not suggesting that what I’m saying is gospel

Well obviously Moylan was one of them.

But doesn't seem like there will be any more this week, not much noise at all.

Hope we can get three or four before the deadline, sure we will.

Ned I only expected 2 ,and again we go with what we got ,you have said lots of times bbm only wants a small squad ,but the championship will take its toll on a small squad,
we got away with it in league one as a lot of games where a walk in the park.
There will be no easy games in the championship and I really hope bbm understands the physicality of the championship,
and loosing salec last season should be a big warning.
"Onward and upwards".

My opinion is unchanged on this Monty, I think we need at least three more but probably four. Also that I'll judge it after the deadline.

Well you've got your 2 Monty..Trott and Moylan. I have a feeling that number will increase within the next week or so.

Glen Williams update from 13 mins ago

Two more very close.

Attacking player who can play wide or upfront - Expected loan deal

Omari Kellyman still remains a genuine target in addition to above Moylan, Salech and Robinson.

Cardiff are prioritising strengthening their attack.

New Steward - Ball Boy and Tea Lady ;)

We missed out on the tea lady - remour is she is off to Hull - longer contract and prem wages.

Two concerns. Defo think Salech needs proven Championship quality support up front. Salech largely unproven at Championship level and CR47 isn't going to play every match clearly.

Secondly, I feel we need a no-nonsense Championship quality centre back who knows this league and won't get bullied. I worry that we might be a little weak and error prone, particularly at centre back.

I wouldn't say unproven he had a good second half of the season when we were relegated. In fact I would say he was the one of the highlights before we went down. Just my opinion we do need quality back up though

Re: Two to 3 very close

We could say the same every season. I can’t see us signing a proven championship striker as we have Salech who could well tick that box, Robinson who is the “experienced knows this division” striker, and then a few youngsters who may or may not step up.

Maybe a gamble on a prem youngster, but we won’t be getting someone proven at championship level.

CDM to replace Wintle is important if our defence is the main concern

Relegation battle at the moment for me. If you look at what we’ve lost and gained, the team is worse than last year and a weaker squad than the one relegated last time. Bookies get it right more than they’re wrong. Need min of four more players.

I agree that it has now been over three months to get the business done and we have failed to do so. Big week ahead looking at flights in to Cardiff and who’s booking the kids in to Howells school.

Agreed, we need one asap; probably going to have to go into Wrexham with injured players at the back and others out of position. It was a hard enough test without that and a fully fit and ready-to-go squad.

Lawlor is a cracking prospect, but due to age and the intensity of the league, with his injuries we won't be able to rely on him for probably half the season.

A new urn is a big pull.

She gave the chocolate hobnobs to the U18's by mistake - no need to go all Alan Sugar on her.

But seriously, the background staff are a big part of a club. The are usually long serving, nearly always local and often fans.

From the training ground staff, laundry women & canteen staff right through to the groundsmen, kit men, medics, physio's, academy staff and technical guys these are normal people doing normal jobs on normal money.

The management need them onside for the club to function - you don't need or want to piss them off or make wholesale changes for the sake of it.
