Cardiff City midfielder Alex Robertson says missing out on a place in Australia's World Cup squad was "tough to take", but insists his full focus is now on helping the Bluebirds build on last season's success:

Australia should have taken him... They couldn't of been any worse.

Maybe a International hero for the near future in the making.

I said when he didn't go, it was a positive for us, he had a good rest and chance to get his head right for a great season with us to show Tony Popovic what he can do and that he made a mistake.
