Any changes to match threads?

Will be doing the first match thread of the season over the weekend or early next week, for the Swindon game. As usual, it will be a full match thread but may be scaled down slightly as it's a cup game.

As I ask every season, do people think there should be changes to the match threads this season?

All opinions welcome and will be considered

Last season the match thread had the opponents, time and date, stadium (with an image) and updates ahead of the game at the top. Also a poll on the match result. The individual sections were:


About the opponents
Connections between the two clubs
Opposition's manager
Opposition's dangerous players
Referee
Last five games head to head
Predicted line-ups
Last game
Match odds


So, if you think anything should be removed or added to the match thread then please reply on this thread.

But will accept criticism about the match threads too and if anyone has any view on how they can be improved

It is fine as it is ned.you do a good job,thank you for taking the effort and time to write it.

You do a great job, Ned; and your threads are a great focal point before and during any given match

Wrexham match thread will be done over the weekend so last chance to make suggestions ahead of the league season

Also, after feedback I received last season, there will be a slight change to the "referee rating" threads. Instead of being marks out of ten, it will be a star system with 5 being the best and obviously 0 being the worst. It was suggested to me as it would be more straightforward so will give that a try this season.
