NEW IMPORTANT RULES THIS SEASON

As used recently in the world cup

New Anti time wasting
rules & obstructions red cards.

These are in brief not in detail.

If any shot stopper goes down for treatment and nothing is obvious to the ref,a nominated player must go off,if after 10 seconds no one has left the captain has to leave for a set time.

Throw_ins & goalkicks.

Throw_ins

There will be 5 seconds count down at the refs discretion on throw_ins it will be awarded to the opposite team if not done within the time.

Goal kicks,
5 seconds again
If not done in time, a corner will be awarded to the opposite team.

Red cards

As well as the usual, hair pulling will be a straight Red.


Obstructions and impediment within the box

Impeding the goalkeeper and getting in the way deliberately pulling etc are all going to be clamped down on heavily .

Hand ball

The hand must be signifitently away from the body or towards the ball .

I hope this has outlined the basics of new rules co.i g in this season , i have not gone into detail to much.

This could also start some new chants or countdown's for the referee .

Players in the World Cup found a way round the throw in rule.

Because the countdown doesn't start until they pick the ball up, they just took their time before they actually picked it up.

Monty the hair pull as got more discretion in how its applied? Basically open to interpretation deliberate pull or making movement to pull is red card but if going up for challenge and hand goes on hair red is not automatic.. thats what was said on sky ... sounds like handball mess again. Also players over reacting to having hair touched will go against victim ... shame don't do that for other offences like being touched in penalty area ... let's hope var are well practised in pre training
