Crystal Palace defender Danny Imray aged 23,is set to join the Championship club Wrexham for £5mill.

Was on loan at West Bromwich Albion last season. During his time with the Baggies, he made 17 appearances and helped the club avoid relegation from the Championship.

A matter of time, isn't it? One last push with Parkinson, or a bigger-name manager, with a bigger budget next season.

So £50m last summer and £25m this summer. Would people really want us to spend £75m in a two year period, not as a Premier League club but as a Championship club?

It's great if it leads to them getting promoted but if they don't then that's £75m spent without getting to where they want to be. A huge outlay.

With all the big money signings I think Wrexham have lost that team spirit and togetherness they had whilst in lower leagues. We bossed them last year in the cup.. Money spent doesn't guarantee success.

It's a massive gamble and if you don't go up it could hurt the club further down the road

And looking at some of the teams in this league going up is not going to be easy even if you spend the money

I think they’ll be consistent over the season and achieve at least the (mad IMHO) extended play-offs, but they won’t be infallible and for me, meeting them at the start of the season will balance things out, as teams settle into the season

We’ll bring players in before the first game, and I see us doing (at least) okay next season with the possibility of taking one of those play-off spots under BBM

The difference is that'll put them nowhere near the limit on FFP while if it was us (or nearly anyone else), they can afford to not go up. If we spent that money it would be shit or bust
