The way I look at it is if he was that special, much bigger clubs would be in for him offering eye-watering amounts of money. The offer we have apparently made whilst big by our standards is barely enough to feed Erling Haaland for a month.

One of the problems if this doesn't go through is that other clubs know how much we're willing to pay for one player so they may well increase the selling price for any other player we might be looking at.

That's a really good point.

We’ve got no chance of signing this player. Even if we do it’s a massive gamble for big money. Move on and buy a an experienced championship midfielder instead. Season starts in a few weeks and no signings.

It was blatantly obvious from the directors comments, that this was a bidding war. Whoever stumps up the most gets the player, regardless of whether the lad wants to go or not.

I think it is going to happen personally, this looks like a play to milk more money from us. Not sure why everyone is so adamant on deadlines and take it or leave it. Just that's the max we are offering, we are now in for other players if you want that deal you know where we are

Personally I would look elsewhere, if he doesn't want to come leave it there, we want players that wants to come and fight not to look elsewhere for self gain, we've had plenty of players like that over the years.

Rog, the 2 clubs mentioned have always been keeping an eye on things. Nothing changed really. Hate putting things out that I hear just in case not correct but 2 rumours about this transfer from today look positive.

If Dahl wanted to be a Cardiff City player then he would have signed over the last two weeks.

How do you work that out?

He’s under contract so it’s the clubs decision to sell him not the players. He can’t decide to go to the club of his choosing if another club offers a mill more for example.

And if people think we’ll miss out on others because we’re looking at one particular player they’re naive.
They really think our manager hasn’t got a list and he’s the only one we are going for they’re crazy, negative or both.
