Ok, so Robbie Savage is the opposing manager for us in a friendly tomorrow.

I've seen some say in the past that he doesn't like us. It's not true.

He has commended us on social media for the support we're bringing.

He also used to stick up for us on 5 Live for their 606 show.

Just wanted to clear that up.

Ned,

I’ve met Robbie Savage many times and he has even sat with me in a Night Club.
Robbie Savage to me:

“Cardiff fans are mad and passionate like me and I love that about the.”

“I’ve got a lot of time for Cardiff and especially their fans.”

He’s a passionate Welshman, and absolutely football mad, so yes he’ll appreciate City’s support.

Abiding memory of him playing for Derby County at our place, him scoring their penalty in added time when we were already 4-0 up, his walk to the penalty spot and the Canton Stand reception. Great memories, the noise was deafening!

Good luck to him at FGR, for a North Walian he’s alright.
Dad missed the cup final in 1927 as grandad only had 2 tickets, and Dad had an older brother!

My opinion of Robbie Savage went down hill after he refused to play for Toshack (as manager) of our Wales side.

Disrespect of a professional footballer, countryman and to our national manager (no matter what went on between the two of them) Play for the shirt ?

Plus, then I seen him on some football show , slagging off players who do not play for the shirt and give their all !!!

Talk about a hypocrite.

Otherwise a good footballer and I rate his son as well.

I remember him playing in Andy Legg's testimonial game and he came on the mike after he left the pitch and said how much better Cardiff was than Swansea.

Also remember after losing away to Derby in the last game of the season and being booed non stop all game he again went on the microphone and wished Cardiff all the best for the play-offs.

Looks like a Savage blow, Tony! ;) :laughing6: :ayatollah:
This is OUR club, not Vincent Tan’s! He is a temporary custodian and will be judged on the state he leaves us in when he leaves!
