I hope to have moved some playeds out ,but it looks like our best lawlor could go and we are stuck with Chambers Robinson and we need to replace wintle &kellyman

I think most of us would agree that at least four, probably five new players are needed asap and more if Lawlor leaves.

I understand those who say that the window doesn't close until 1st September but I find it very frustrating that in over three months since promotion we've not signed one new first team outfield player.

We've had months now to identify our targets and other teams seem to be able to get their transfers over the line but we can't seem to for some reason.

New players often take time to fit into the team - look at Kellyman. Took months to show what he was capable of.

Or is BBM happy with the squad he has at the moment?

Surely not?

Lack of ambition, lack of understanding from the top. Feel sorry for BBM. By working miracles, the Dictator thinks he can do it again and again and ag.....

BBM I believe will walk if Tan does not match his vision, and it'll once again be his own fault

If Dylan lawlor is sold to West ham,I definitely would like to see Kellyman back here and a couple of good signings,a striker,I hope things start moving soon.

Agreed but as they always say on here "plenty of time left yet" and what do we usually get a last minute player or players who are not starting because there unfit for games, on the bench maybe and take 4 to 5 weeks to catch up.

I said weeks ago no manager wants to go in to the first game of the season without his signings ready and had a pre season with there new team so they are ready to rock but had the usually reply "plenty of time left yet" although I suspect he won't get anything near what BBM wants on truth despite what's said to the media. It all comes down to backing as of yet he's not been backed at all or they would be here in my opinion . These managers don't sit around for four months and think let's sign him on the last day of a window that's for sure

Our lack of transfer activity is a bit worrying isn't it. If Wrexham bag their big money signing from Italy we will be the only team in the Championship to have not added a new signing.

Weird when you consider how organised and on it BBM appears about everything.

Could it be a case that we've been unlucky and have just missed out on targets - those no.6's choosing Pompey and Scotland for instance and the most recent target also potentially choosing Rangers.

Plus we've not got a GK coach in yet either have we???

Also, they've retained the majority of a squad that only missed out on a play off place on the last day of the season.

We still have in our squad many players who were part of a squad that came bottom of the Championship but I do accept that we have a much better manager now than we did then even though Riza set that bar incredibly low.

They also don't appear to be as desperate as we are to let one of their best young players be sold.

That's because they don't have any.

I don't see any desperation to sell anyone anyway, West Ham came to us & he's not going anywhere on the cheap but as someone else said, almost every club is a selling club if the price is right.

I’m sure to be ‘knocked’ for being positive here, but I’m reliably told away from this Forum that discussions/negotiations are currently ongoing with ‘at least’ two players expected in soon

He won't know until he tries & there's always a risk of them saying no thanks be it an offer from a bigger club or they just don't fancy being at Cardiff & living in Wales no matter who the manager is or how much money is on offer. I doubt very much he's "hanging around" but actively talking to the players he wants attempting to convince them to come to Cardiff City.

He won't know until he tries & there's always a risk of them saying no thanks be it an offer from a bigger club or they just don't fancy being at Cardiff & living in Wales no matter who the manager is or how much money is on offer. Fair enough but in three months since our promotion was confirmed I'm more than a little disappointed that we haven't been able to persuade anybody to join the club.

I agree it's unlikely we'll sign nobody but how come virtually every other club in the division has managed to (in their eyes at least) strengthen their squads? And have managed to convince those players to join their club?

Are we setting our sights too high? Assuming the bid for the Norwegian lad is genuine and not dependent on the sale of Lawlor it seems that Tan is backing BBM.

BBM's vision appears to be young, talented players who can improve and bring value to the club.

With the success of last season and the infrastructure at the club it seems a little strange to me that nobody as yet has been persuaded to join the CCFC revolution.
