Operational Stability and Progress

In correspondence with the Trust, Wayne Nash, Head of Operations, highlighted the Club’s focus on stability during the 2025–26 season. He noted that it was “a credit to the Owner and Board” that no redundancies were made during a challenging period for the organisation.

Wayne also praised the impact of the new manager, whose energy and approach helped deliver promotion and rebuild a strong connection with supporters — bringing back a sense of enjoyment reminiscent of the early Dave Jones era.

Despite financial pressures, the Club maintained high operational standards and continued to invest in key facilities. Recent improvements include:

Additional lighting rigs and upgraded CCTV at Cardiff City Stadium

Reconfigured first‑team training facilities at The Vale

Further drainage and irrigation works at Llanrumney ahead of the 2026–27 season

Early pitch renovation has also enabled home pre‑season friendlies, which Wayne described as helpful in managing pre‑season costs.

Wayne noted "Now we look forward and not backwards".

Looking Ahead

Wayne acknowledged the importance of heritage projects to supporters, including appropriate celebration of the Club’s FA Cup win and the development of a Cardiff City Museum. He expressed his intention to work with the Trust on these priorities during the coming season.

While the Trust is disappointed the End‑of‑Season Review will not be shared publicly, we appreciate the clarity provided and welcome the continued dialogue with the Club.


Supporters remain keen to understand the lessons learned from the relegation period, and the Trust will continue to raise this directly, through its various engagement channels.

We look forward to working with the Club on the season ahead and on the heritage projects that matter so much to our fanbase.

The segregation at our stadium is laughable,there should be fans sat on most of them seats in the ninian stand,the club are losing out on money.it is also embarrassing,some other clubs just have 2 rows of seat and some netting for segregation.

I agree some just a line of stewards I have seen lots of other teams games Leeds wolves no big segregation like ours as I say biggest out of 92 clubs

it's Nashes baby he will run it as he sees fit ,just wish he would look at other games on tv to see how they manage to do it, and there was no segregation when chelsea played at the stadium last season in the cup it was full so it can be done the msn is a little Hitler power crazy Mr important no trouble on my watch bla bloody bla.

That pic shows how it should be monty,not 2 blocks of empty seats either side of the away fans.we live in hope.

Regarding Wayne Nash this guy maybe approachable and I have voiced my anger towards him which maybe a bit unfair so I will tone my rhetoric towards him doen
, but he surely has to realise he is the one out of sync with the football league on this issue i have travelled to grounds all over the uk and we are by far the worse segregated ground in the uk ,
so my anger towards the person in charge of this stupid idea that fans need to be this far apart is justified ,and if if this was down to the football league then surely this would be done at all football grounds .
I would be willing to sit down and discuss this with him face to face if I could,
and ask to explain why cardiff have to be so different, and why the chelsea game went ahead with no bother with no segregation, and also does he understand about atmosphere banter not just a rule book.
If there are any other fans who know Wayne Nash personally could they ask the question I have raised .

Ned it's what annoys me too hence my rant towards Nash i don' t hate the guy never met him but he is the man in the position of power and he decides. Did he have a day off for the chelsea game?Ha but you are correct if it can be done for this game why not all?.
