Doubt we'll hear much from the big teams until the WC is done & dusted and they know what injuries etc. they have for the season.

Agree with that.

He'll obviously be loaned out again and not seen links with any other clubs. So maybe no news is good news right now.

We won't hear a dickie bird until September. After the transfer windows has closed and Chelsea have finalised their squad.

I’d say that’s a positive; the fact he gets on well enough with them to share training together.

Chelsea will need to see some return on their investment, so I guess after a season in L1, proving he is over his nasty injury, they will want a pretty decent loan fee as well as wages.

I can't see us paying to develop Chelsea's player when we could use that money to pay for the U23 compensation for a good U23 academy player.

He was good, but I was more impressed with Philogene during his loan with us.

I have a track record of being wrong about these things but I do think Kellyman will go on to have a great career, better than Philogene. There's just something about him that's different.

I'll be surprised if he's not a Premier League player within a few years. Maybe not at the level of Chelsea, but a Premier League club a bit lower down.

I think if he joins a Championship club (hopefully us) then he'll have a very good season.

But like I say, I'm normally wrong about these things so put your money on Kellyman never playing in the PL.

This seems to happen every year we get a good loan player in and everyone is obsessed with getting them back. It's very unlikely they send these guys out to different clubs to get different experiences. BBM has spent years in and around academy players I'm sure he's got the contacts to get us a couple of guys in but it won't be until late in the day. We need a few permanent signings very soon though

To be fair, I get why some people are impatient for news because there aren't even any rumours.

I do agree we need to bring in some soon though. Would hope that there will be something happening in the next couple of weeks.

You'd hope they'd be in for the start of preseason friendlies but I don't think so now. I'm guessing the World Cup has had some sort of effect. As far as loans go my guess we'll get guys from Man City

I think he needs another season in L1. When he was good, he was stand out, but he went games being ineffective.

Loan someone new on the fringe of the prem.

I think the problem is his position. IMO he is a striker who hasn't learned his craft yet, or at best a second striker, but few teams start with that.
The Pep devotees will play a 10 out wide like the master, but I think teams will drift away from that in search of pace to break the packing of the middle.

For city I think BBM will always start with a midfielder who is attacking rather than a second forward. I had a look at Rubins and Omari's "duel-won" stats to see how they fared. They may play the same position nut in a different way.

Gemini search

Duel Success (Per 90 Minutes)
Rubin Colwill: Averaged approximately 4.38 duels won per 90 minutes (based on 117 total duels won over 26.7 full 90-minute segments).

Omari Kellyman: Averaged approximately 2.44 duels won per 90 minutes (based on 52 total duels won over 21.3 full 90-minute segments).

Colwill's higher output reflects his deeper involvement in midfield play, whereas Kellyman’s profile is more heavily skewed toward attacking output as a striker.

Think ur bang on there llan bluebird, both in how u see Kellyman and how u say BBM sees that tip of the midfield 3.

Kellyman scored 2 in 17 from midfield (zero assists) but bagged 7 in 14 plus 2 assists when up top.

His attitude was impressive, especially as a loan player. I'd take him back if its possible.

Rubin btw bagged 9 goals and 7 assists from midfield over 31 games with only 1 appearance upfront with no goals.
