Danny Higgs aged 18 will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Cymru Premier side Penybont.

The goalkeeper recently signed his first professional contract after joining the Club at the age of eight.


I don’t agree with any player of ours as we are a Championship Club going out to a Welsh League Side.

It's because we're based in Wales, any player going on loan to an english side is offically classed as an international loan, and there EPL/EFL has a limit on only 6 international loans.

Luke Armstrong has gone to Scotland which is 1 loan
If we cannot sell Etete, Simic or Daland thats another 3

resulting in 2 spaces left, Mafico, Tank, Eli King (might for minutes) all probably looking at going out and getting loan time

EFL ruling limits our ability to loan to English clubs.

Also have to factor in that he is an 18 year old goalkeeper. The experiance he will get playing mens football (no matter what league its in) will be invaluable.

Agree, especially as goalkeepers peak at around 28 years old.
