We all have fond memories of the ninian which will never be forgotten but it's upto us to create a better atmosphere in our present stadium .
This coming season would be a good chance to prove we can make it a better atmosphere, the recent chelsea game and wales games and our stint in the prem proves we can have a great atmosphere here also .

Ninian Park was no different.
There were times when it was bouncing with a great atmosphere but there were more often times when it was dead.
I watch a fair bit of Premiership games and many stadiums are quiet until something happens on the pitch.
But yes, hopefully the atmosphere improves a bit this season but again I believe it starts with the players and action that’s going on in the game.

It all depends what you mean by atmosphere. Football has changed as a spectator event completely. We all miss Ninian Park and its noise and sometimes hostile atmosphere. It was amazing but often it was half empty too. I remember the late 80s well. By the end it was a crumbling dump. Football is now geared more to a whole day experience, corporate and family entertainment. Far more women attend. We are never going to replicate the atmosphere of Ninian park as the fans and fan expectations have changed. The fact you can go to football safely without the expectation of trouble or violence is probably a good thing too.

Ninian Park is where i fell in love with football . Do i miss the ground yes a bit However let’s not pretend that it was rocking all the time Maybe a couple of times a season and I think the Leeds FA Cup game for atmosphere will be beaten ever in my lifetime
The vast majority of time it was a very quite stadium with very small crowds and I started in 73/74 and when i take off my rose tinted specs of my teenage and early 20s years it really was not that great to be honest

I agree big time attitudes need to change towards the fans and trying to kill the atmosphere.
I honestly believe a better atmosphere can only help the Team and get more fans return

My point is that we the fans must change but i would say most on this forum are not so young anymore and its these young fans that the mesage needs to get across to not old farts like me .
We all agree that that our newish stadium does not have the atmosphere which it should have ,but as I pointed out, wales games have been banging ,granted they where usually 33,000 which helps.along with the prem games.
I did suggest last season in putting the words to men of Harlech up on the screen for those youngsters who do not know the words when the team come out into the field ,but who do you contact to put forward suggestions? And dealing with the likes of Nash is not very appealing.

The second half of this vid is The Bob Bank and Bob Bank Village. Great atmosphere and a great day too. You may even be in it?

I agree that not only us fans but people in charge on the match day mainly Mr Nash with his biggest segregation in the football league out of 90 odd teams is scandalous.
There is no justification to be more over and above any other team with our segregation this must be resolved ,he should go and work at the egg stadium he must be removed i watched him prancing about at our last home game does he think he is a military general.

My view is it's two things not enough people in the ground and the football has been largely unattractive
Hopefully the crowds will improve this year as there's a little bit more buzz after years of us being a bottom end championship team.
We've been crap for years apart from last year where a lot of our games where dire to watch. Pep ball is very methodical and for my money we were technically the best team in the league so most teams parked the bus, half the games looked like training exercises. Tougher opposition should sort that out

Palace have an area where their “Ultras” can stand , wave flags and chant all game long ! Surely we can do that on Canton Stand ??

I have had to ask permission twice this season to bring my flag in on a pole and Mr Nash will not have fans enjoying themselves

I have said on previous topics we will be underdogs in a lot of games this coming season, and our supporters respond better as underdogs.

Ninian Park was amazing and has memories that will last forever, but it was the right thing for the club to leave.
I am sick of hearing people blame the stadium or modern football for the sometimes lack of atmosphere at CCS.
We have had great atmospheres there for Wales games, against the Jacks, in the Premier League and even a couple of games last season.
It can be made into a good atmosphere and it's up to the fans to deliver that. There should be no excuses.

This should be a good starter at the stadium.

Nobody should take ‘
friendlies’ as serious competition and/or indicators of next season’s form!

I was more on the attendance rather than the football
