FAW bosses held informal talks with Steve Cooper, while ex-Wolves manager Rob Edwards is also under consideration to take over as new Wales manager in the event of Bellamy leaving

They must feel there's a good chance of him going then.

Covering bases, I suppose; but it certainly suggests Craig is (at least) considering his options
Why, after recent comments, will be the question and (unsubstantiated) rumours of a fallout are already doing the rounds?
I still hope he stays and commits to Wales; the role suits him inside and outside football

As I've said before while I doubt he's hurting for cash now, Bellamy was bankrupt not long ago. Surely the financial motive will be there. I've heard the his time will come stuff but how many opportunities are going to come his way. He's got a reputation as a hot head which will put many teams off, he's got history in Burnley and they are a promotion contender. I'd be shocked if he doesn't take the job

He has thrown his toys out of the pram over people ( like me ) criticising his terrible match management.
He is like a used car salesman bigging himself up by using media style sound bites and then finding he hasn't got the talent to back up his claims.

I'm of the view he's done a decent job, very disappointed with the Bosnia game but realistically do Wales have a good enough team right now to qualify for the World cup?

It gives impression that he's in talks with them....

Can only be good for Wales if Bellamy leaves and Cooper replaces him.

Have we totally gone away from a non Welsh manager?
Seems a bit blinkered when you see who Pochettino, Tuchel, Ancelotti, Bielsa and Martinez manage.
I know we couldn't fund that sort of quality but we must be able to fund a bit more quality than Cooper or Edwards.

I'm not sure it matters who is in charge as we don't have the players to do much except give us all false hope of qualification for tournaments.

I think the squad is overrated on the board but tournament qualification in this day and age isn't impossible, especially for the Euros where a second place finish will do it most of the time and even then you go into a playoff. The World Cup is a bit more difficult, but there's no reason we shouldn't be at the Euros quite regularly

It would have to be Cooper, if any; hopefully, Beller does what he's promised to do on numerous occasions and finishes the job.

Good to have a plan B - Surprised how this has taken a turn from the comments made before
