@talkSPORT understands #EFC have to pay Burnley £40m + interest having originally sought £50m+ after the Toffees were docked 10 points, later reduced to 6 for a PSR breach in 2023.
Burnley successfully argued they would have stayed up without the rule breach.
Everton will appeal

There has to be consequences to breaking the rules or what's the point of them. The question for me is was the 6 point deduction enough of a punishment and the answer is no it should have stayed at 10 points minimum.

But that will have an unfair impact on the rest of Championship clubs. Not only do they have a parachute payment but they have another 40 million to spend

A ludicrous ruling, if Everton broke the rules it's on the PL to punish them. They have end of discussion. I fully support Burnley going after the PL for 40 mil as they should have hit Everton harder
