Cardiff City have a Bid on the Table:

Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:11 pm

Cardiff City have a bid on the table for a player currently representing his country in the World Cup.

Nothing will happen yet but at least it shows we’re trying already.

Nothing will go any further till his Country are out of the World Cup

Also there are other clubs interested

More details soon

That's excellent news & should keep the naysayers quiet for a while at least.

I don't really care who it is at the moment, just happy that BBM knows who/what he wants & in what positions and that the club are already putting the wheels in motion.

Surely nobody can ask for more at the present time.

Good news.

This is the problem in a World Cup year though, transfers for players there obviously have to wait.

Especially as it's a long World Cup this year.

Would it be an Australian international playing in the Scottish Premier league?

My guess is Leicester City Harry Souttar Scottish born 6ft .6. Giant Centre Back. Still under contract till 2028.
Will give us height and a goal threat.

Very limited in terms of mobility, I'd be surprised if he fits BBM's play style.

I’ve heard that one of the teams came up with us and the other was in the championship this year. Also interest from the USA apparently

It's Cammy Devlin from Hearts. Australian international. Decent defensive midfield player and out of contract. Better than Wintle? Jury is out.

I think hes a slight upgrade hes certainly more aggressive than wintle and better on the ball , although wintle was very good on the ball last season , theres not much between the two but devlin just about edges it in my opinion

That could be a bid as in an offer to the player where other offers are also present but it could also mean what you say.

Exactly this. Players command big signing on fees.

People seem to forget this I lived next door to an ex city player His contract was coming to an end and was being renewed He got £70k for signing contract and 4k a week and we are talking around 2003/4 At the time It never entered my mind you would getting a signing on fee for just renewing your contract and getting increased wages

Fair enough! I have a feeling the window will be different this year in regards to new recruits :occasion5:

I dont know much about Devlin other than hes another center midfield player.

Would people be happy with this signing over the other rumors mentioned? (Savage, Shein or Watt?)

I think it’ll be different too mate.
Apparently he’s good at breaking up play and has a thunderous tackle. North of the border compare him to Scott Brown. Interesting times ahead mate
