Silly IMHO to have a 745 KO.... Means Ill only be able to watch half the game due to my flight times. Also I guess it will mean a full 90 minute game very early on ( 2nd game in) into the friendly season.

The club should be a little embarrased, especially for a match involving flights. Flights and work holidays have had to be booked earlyish to get the cheapest option, yet only today it has been officially confirmed who we play, when and where and KO time.

Now Luton Town for example have their matches on Foreign soil all agreed weeks ago so their fans could make proper arrangements.

Would have been a great little trip, but a £200 return flight from Bristol is astronomical.

£32 return if you can get yourself up to Manchester for a 615am flight?

Respect what you're saying but it wasn't really the club's fault. BBM wanted a pre-season training camp in Cork as it's his hometown, the club agreed.

Then it was about finding a team to play. Cork City have obviously agreed. Original plan was to play two games but was difficult because it's right in the middle of the League Of Ireland season, although in a break period as the top teams play European qualifiers at that time.

As for the kick off time and the fans, pre-season isn't about the fans and nor should it be. It's about the team getting up to speed.

Kicks off at 7.45pm because it's on a Tuesday and as Cork City are hosting the match, they'll want it at a time outside of working hours so their fans can attend.

Ned, cant deny my own issues in booking too early to get the cheapest cost either!

I think the club are slow to meet BBMs needs. Were still waiting to organise games for 1st Sat in August and middle July. This should have been sorted a good while back .

The club should mirror BBMs detail and enthusiasm IMHO.....

Yeah fair points, they probably should been on the ball a bit more. I think the only ones announced so far are Cork, Forest Green and Midtjylland?

Anyway, hope you are able to rearrange your flights :thumbright:

Would always suggest flying from Manchester or Birmingham. I go to Belfast a lot and it's so much cheaper from one of those airports than Bristol, assume it's the same flying to Ireland.

Belfast Ive done a few times from Bristol. Love the place and it'll be a regular haunt.

Doing Cork from Brum, but to change flights would have been €180 plus additional fuel to Manchester and an overnight stay there as the flight out is 615am....

Half a game it is.......
