Elfsborg defender Ibrahim Buhari

I do not really know the player but a quick google suggests he is 24 year old defender - can play right back or centre back.

Played 7 games so far this season (season started in March I think)
First game
21 April 2001
Bootham Crescent
York 3 - 3 Cardiff

True Tim, but look at how many goals we conceded in Div 1, gonna need to do a lot better in this league and an .upgrade is surely needed

We need a dominant Centre half, a young Morrison/Johnson type would be perfect. Maybe a bit better on the ball, though, or BBM wouldn't consider them. I suppose he'd rather a Gabbidon type.

We'll want someone that is the Guehi type.

A tough defender but can play too.

Having looked at the dreaded YouTube, he seems to fit the bill.

Osho will stay, he's an aggressive ball playing defender which fits BBM's wishes. I rate him highly.

Chambers is on a lot of money so will be difficult to shift.

Fish most likely to leave or all of them.

Glen Williams has just mentioned this in his latest WOL piece so there maybe legs in it.

Reports:

Cardiff City, Portsmouth, and Lincoln City are the three English clubs exploring a deal to sign 24-year-old Nigerian centre-back Ibrahim Buhari.

Swedish media outlet Expressen reports that these clubs have made initial contact with his current team, IF Elfsborg, ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Because Buhari has only six months remaining on his contract, Elfsborg is highly motivated to sell him now to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
This is OUR club, not Vincent Tan’s! He is a temporary custodian and will be judged on the state he leaves us in when he leaves!

You have all forgotten which club you support.
We are a selling club.
This may have legs if they have agreed a big deal to sell Lawler
and this guy mentioned is his replacement.

Every club in this country is a selling club apart from three or four.

Have you seen anyone being linked with Lawlor? I haven't.

You're pushing negativity like so many do. You'd get on well with Monty.

Harsh on Monty there Ned. He is pessimistic and always expecting the worst, but he’s consistently backed it up with his hopes.

I think with our owners, it’s how most of us have become to avoid disappointment

As a club, we don’t generate enough income to invest heavy (and that is purely down to the owners poor marketing). That said, I think we’ll invest wisely in this window, BBM was a hidden gem and hopefully we get a season or two more from him.

This model is very Sunderland style and it’ll be interesting to see if we can follow their lead entirely to where they are now

Im almost certain lawlor won't leave this summer unless we receive a stupidly high amount but as it is Dylan doesn't want to leave and loves cardiff , also as good as he is hes still quite raw and prone to the odd mistake , I think clubs will wait and watch to see how he adjusts to championship football before coming in with a big offer in either January or next summer

Ned I think you’re the one who is overly negative , always slating some of our players , especially Rubin ,
I think it’s very harsh to keep giving negative digs about Monty , it’s getting a bit silly now

I don’t think Worcester is a negative poster at all. In fact he’s the opposite.

Yes, I think his views on Rubin are well over the top and not a view I agree with but it’s his opinion.

With Monty, his reputation has now stuck after years of pessimism, negativity and moaning. Perhaps it’s his personality, I don’t know but it takes all sorts as long as the swearing and abuse doesn’t start again.

With regards to the rumour, I’ve no idea as I don’t know the player but if it comes off I’ll trust BBM if there’s any wheeling and dealings to be done.
The fact is our defence looked really poor at times last season and it could be that he’s looking to change it.

OriginalGrangeEndBlue,

you are always quick to point out my faults but but unlike "tuggi" who recognises that I am also positive but you never see that, you only comment and pop up to tell the forum that I am 100% negative.

I see he started following cardiff city and Glen today on social media

Surely that would mean deal pretty much done as I can’t think of another reason why he’d do that.
