JUST IN: There is now a seriously confident expectation that a verdict in the Man City 115 charges case could arrive within weeks, with Premier League clubs awaiting official communication. [HandofArsenal]

If City were to receive a 60-point deduction:

They would fall into the relegation zone instantly.

West Ham would survive.

European qualification places would completely reshuffle.

It would become one of the biggest punishments in English football history.

A 60-point deduction would leave Manchester City on just 15 points.

The outcome of this case could change the Premier League forever.

Now we know why Pep Guardiola left this season.

We live in hope that (more) justice is meted out, assuming they are found guilty, following the Southampton debacle!

No doubting Pep’s amazing tenure but the Man City ‘machine’ thought they could ‘beat the system’ and for the sake of football, I hope they haven’t! :ayatollah:

I don't see any circumstance where they hit deduct this many points from City this season. They may give them a deduction to drop them out of the champions league, or a huge deduction to start next year

Annis I read that its not going to be 115 charges but more like 20 or so of serious breaches ....so far it's cost premier league £20m..... possible deal done to stop man c from appealing every decision that would make it unviable for premier league to carry on and take years and many more millions to finish the saga...

I don't think Pep leaving has anything to do with the charges.

Most of the charges come from before he even arrived at the club, they're backdated that far.

He also has personal issues, as he split from his wife relatively recently so that would have had an impact.
