Hearts have tabled a bid believed to be worth around £750,000 to sign York City defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott aged 24.

The ex Cardiff City defender made only one appearance for the Bluebirds between 2023-25 and was released.

York City signed up Fagsn-Walcott after being on loan to them while at Cardiff City.

But he never came through Our Accademy??

He was not in our academy. He went from Spurs U18's to the U21's
He looked good on the ball but mistake prone.

He is 24 and in the National League with barely a murmur when we transferred him.

Do the ITKer's know if there was a sell on clause?

No sell on clause, however he was part of our U21s. I speak to heads of academies and this is a great thing for Cardiff. One in London told me, the biggest thing right now Cardiff have going for them over so many other clubs is the fact that in recent years, so many players have come in to the club, via our academy, or signed for U21s, and then go on to have careers in football. Its a HUGE factor when recruiting youngsters. Even if we don't see a penny of this, its still a big success as we use this story to add to a list of others now when we speak to youngsters in future
