Scrap the Charity Shield every year.. replace it with a Champions of England Vs Champions of Scotland trophy..

Fan engagement would be high and no longer a summer friendly game..

One year in Scotland the next year in England

Why should the EFL give the Scottish game a cash boost by getting rid of a money earner for the game The money from the game goes to clubs lower down the footballing chain and for lots of clubs the money has been a life saver
I would love to see a game between the champions of England and Scotland but not at the expense of the Charity shield and the money it bring to smaller clubs

The money isnt kept by the clubs. They donate it to a local community/charity

That would be like the champions of England playing the winners of league 1. Why not the champions of Spain? At least that would be a game worth watching.

Solid no from me, keep the Charity Shield as is.
Support the team, not the regime.

It'll always be a trumped up friendly as it's just a one off game, why would you swap City v Arsenal for one of them to give Celtic a hiding

I wouldn't do this personally.

They got 82k last year for Palace v Liverpool. Can't see that being the case for Arsenal/Man City v Celtic.

It is, as Wembley has another event (concert) on that weekend and it’s bit of a ‘coup’ for the Welsh capital

The 2026 Community Shield in Cardiff will take place on Sunday, 16 August 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM :ayatollah:
This is OUR club, not Vincent Tan’s! He is a temporary custodian and will be judged on the state he leaves us in when he leaves!

They used to play a champions of England v champions of Scotland in the Middle East, possibly Dubai, seem to recall Rangers beating Everton one year.

After the crap the sfa pulled this season I wouldn't want to promote any of that shite up north

Plus it would be out of celtic or rangers every year so won't be long until that gets boring

I'd keep it the same, its just a harmless charity game anyway

Ned,

It would be a sell out if it was Rangers or Celtic involved
