Tinpot Northern backwater. Think Burnley have ideas above their station. We're a bigger club.

If BBM went there, they'd have to pay him big bucks but I think he has too much integrity/ loyalty to our young lads.

I see many are saying he will not go. If he doesn't he is showing great character and a belief in what he is building.

I, however, would expect him to take the job if offered it.

We can get blinkered by potential and size of clubs but you cannot get away from the fact that they are currently a Premier League club and next season will have one hefty parachute payment.

It's a no trainer for a manager looking to better himself.

It's not about size of a club at all.

It's about a club being the right fit and the right project. That's the whole reason he came to us in the first place.

Burnley are neither of those things. He will not leave us for them.

If a right fit does come along then he will go of course, but Burnley are not that.

Don’t think that’s true sorry.

Kompany essentially rebuilt Burnley, Parker didn’t completely tear that apart. I’d say they have the players for BBM to do extremely well and that’s without taking into account parachute payments etc

I’ve often found from doing away days that many places in the UK are actually nicer than their reputation would suggest.

This cannot be said for Burnley which was even more of a shithole than I was expecting.

BBM's philosophy is to work with younger players. We know that.

Burnley fans will expect to bounce back to the Premier League and I can't see them being all in for a manager that would say "we're only signing young players."

I'll give everyone who posts on this topic £20 if he goes to Burnley. That's how confident I am.

I was there when we were confirmed as title winners, a 1-1 draw, and they applauded us as we left the ground. This was after 3 seasons prior whilst waiting at the strain station , having stones thrown at us from the road above!

Couple of seasons later on, played them in Prem and they were having a go every where. At the Cricket Club (after most City had left), then on the walk to the away end, and at the end of the game my walk to my car was dramatic to say the least. Had a younger City supporter from Leeds with me who never encountered the old days and he was a bit shock up.

But I always enjoy my away at Burnley, sounds wierd after reciting the incidents, but at 67 encounted worse - oh and a good pint in the locals, not in the ground, it's shit. :occasion5:

One of the best managers to get you to the premiership is Parker. Burnley idiots to let him go. If our manager goes get Parker instead

Talking of Thomas Frank, that's exactly what BBM should try and do here with Cardiff what Frank done with Brentford and Frank also showed the grass isnt always greener on the other side. Sometimes a club and manager or player are just a perfect fit for each other. I genuinely believe Cardiff is the right club for BBM and overall Cardiff have more potential. BBM saw a glimpse of what could be at home v Chelsea, a packed CCS is a lot better than Turf Moor.

Football Association of Wales (FAW) bosses are "very confident" Craig Bellamy will remain head coach of the men's national team despite interest from Burnley.

Bellamy is among the candidates for the managerial vacancy at Turf Moor after Scott Parker left by mutual consent following the Clarets' relegation from the Premier League.

Although the Clarets have not made an official approach to the FAW, it is believed they have informally sounded Bellamy out about the possibility of taking over.

But following lengthy discussions with the ex-Wales captain, senior sources at the FAW have told BBC Sport Wales they are convinced he will stay until his contract expires in 2028.

One of the main reasons is Bellamy's desire to lead his country at Euro 2028, which Wales will co-host alongside England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

While Bellamy relishes his job, the former Liverpool and Manchester City forward has made no secret of the fact that he wants to manage at the highest level of club football.

The FAW is aware of interest in him from clubs other than Burnley but has some security in the form of a release clause which would require any potential suitor to pay at least £700,000 to buy Bellamy out of his contract.

One thing Burnley isn't is a tinpot club. Just check their history. If anyone is getting ideas above their station it is our fans.
