Cardiff City are reportedly tracking Rotherham United's

Mon May 11, 2026 11:21 am

Cardiff City are reportedly tracking Rotherham United's versatile defender Denzel Hall.

Rotherham have just been relegated to League 2

Preston are also interested in Denzel Hall aged 24

However, on an individual level, he's enjoyed a relatively successful first season in English football, having previously come through the ranks at Dutch giants Feyenoord. Join the Cardiff City breaking news and top stories WhatsApp community.

Hall made 31 appearances for the Millers, whom he joined last summer, scoring three goals and earning two assists in that time.

He has two years left on his current deal at the New York Stadium, so Cardiff may have to shell out a solid fee if they want to land him ahead of the new season.

While he can play at the heart of defence, Hall's primary position is at right-back, and any interest from the Bluebirds may well prompt questions over Perry Ng's future.

I wouldn’t be opposed to this. Ng did ok in League One, but struggled massively in the Championship last time we were there. I think he maybe will want a new challenge.

NG did struggle last season I. Championship but let's not forgot he was player of year twice in two previous years with us.
Ng is versatile and solid and regardless of signing another right back we should be giving him a contract. Along with Bagan and wintle asap

Can't say I know much about him but must be decent if Championship clubs are looking at him.

Kpakio is not defensive enough for a first choice right back - great at coming on when we are on top. NG is a man's full back, with a sweet shot. He is also the player who gets under the opposition skin, which I like about him.

NG is one of the few Championship standard players we have and he also chips in with the odd goal. He's quality, in the prime of his career and we need to keep him for at least a season or two more

Agree he does not look burnt out and is still a big asset to have ,
kapakio was all over the place when he filled in for NG ,and I was glad when he was back, he showed how much we missed him .

Hopefully this is a replacement for kpakio rather than NG

Can't see Perry leaving he seems to love it hear and that was through the crap years
Surely he wants to stay here now we seem to be on the rise

If we do get this guy, I'd like a loan for kpakio, get him some experience
