Loved those days. That picture brings back a lot of happy memories.
70s style haircuts. No tattoos. No beards. Black boots. Ninian Park.
My favourite City player of all time in the front row - Ian Gibson. What a player.
I remember Roger Hoy being injured almost the whole time he was with us.

Didn't we sign Gibson from Coventry ? When they were a Good

Gibbo was a fantastic midfield maestro, playing on pitches which for half the season were either ankle deep in mud or covered in sand. He and Whitts are my favourites of all time. I would have loved to see him perform on the pitches that we have now.
Yes he did sign from Coventry for a fee which was rumoured to involve paying off some gambling debts.

He unfortunately had cancer and died in the 1990s

Agree with the other comments on here regarding Ian Gibson. What a player ! He easily makes it into my my best City XI of all time, well since my first match in the early 60's. Scotland produced so many good footballers at the time.

Re Nigel Rees who provided the cross for Brian Clarkâs amazing header against Real Madrid , I think he fell out of love with football and went to Newport County sad loss a very talented winger
