Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to today announce a new multi-year partnership with British performance sportswear brand Castore, who become our Official Kit Partner from the 2026/27 season.
Through this partnership, Castore will design and supply match kits, trainingwear and off-pitch ranges for our First Team, Women’s and Academy teams, combining elite performance engineering with a design approach rooted in the Club’s identity.
The first collection will debut ahead of the 2026/27 season, built around Castore’s seasonal concept, ‘Into the Elements’, a design direction that reflects the physical and mental resilience required from athletes across the full football calendar. The range has been developed to support every moment of the player journey, from training ground preparation through to matchday performance.
Each product is informed by Castore’s core performance pillars; activity, environment, physiological and psychological performance, ensuring players are equipped to perform in all conditions, from high summer fixtures to deep winter training.
With a focus on technical fabrics, refined silhouettes and elevated heritage detailing, the collection is engineered to help Cardiff City players prepare, endure and attack throughout the season, while delivering supporters a premium retail offering that reflects the pride and identity of the Club.
The partnership further strengthens Castore’s growing presence in elite football, bringing its commitment to Better Never Stops performance innovation to Cardiff City’s players and supporters alike.
Cardiff City FC Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Castore as our new technical kit partner on a multi-year deal, starting this summer. Castore is a global brand, synonymous with quality - and this is what the partnership will be providing to our teams and fans alike. I’m very excited about the opportunities ahead."
Chief Commercial Officer of Castore, Danny Downs, said: “Everyone at Castore is incredibly excited to have been chosen as Cardiff City’s Kit Partner from 2026 and we are delighted to be getting underway, especially at a time of such positive momentum around the Club. The Bluebirds are not only a cornerstone of Welsh football but proudly represents one of the most avid fanbases in football, a fanbase we can’t wait to serve with great new ranges.”

So this is what Choo's been up to, getting us a shit kit manufacturer to work with

Heard that this would happen as early as last year, so this is no suprise.
Castore have had a bad reputation in the past because of the quality, especially when they were Villa's supplier.
But since bringing in some new people, it is a lot better. Everton use them as their supplier and have had no issues.
Personally I'm not one who gets bothered about kit design. As long as the home one is blue, that's good enough for me.

They are a relatively new Sportswear manufacturer.
Am puzzled to see how they can afford to outbid Adidas or the other, more established brands ?

They made a load of stuff in F1 that was very poor quality too, have heard they've improved. Still which we could have got Adidas back or Puma

Well , from the Castore clothing i own already , the quality has been great- no issues whatsoever. So , Im personally looking forward to seeing some smart new kits and some decent leisurewear to boot. Let’s give Castore a chance - i have no doubt whatsoever that any issues previously would have been ‘sorted’ pretty quickly on the basis that they supply to quite a number of Premiership and EFL teams. They cannot afford any brand or reputational damage being relatively new in this particular sector.
Looking forward to seeing the kits soon …. And hope that this post doesn’t come back and bite me in the a**e!
Anyone have any dates of when / any release dates??

Their quality has improved a lot, so I'm sure it will be decent.
People are prejudice against them because of what happened with the Villa kit but they don't have those issues with the kits they make anymore.
I think it's good that we're using a British supplier too.

Castore gear was poor quality. It’s improved loads.

I’ve no idea about the kit itself as I personally don’t buy kits but what a load of marketing shite these people talk -
‘A design direction that reflects the physical and mental resilience required by athletes’ …
‘Activity, environment physiological and psychological performance blah blah blah

Tbh this is going one of two ways
Will either be an all timer probs best since Puma before the R*d
Or will be a disaster like those Cosway Sports kits binned after a season
This for me is all or nothing now for Castore as can they really afford another termination after the Villa, Newcastle, Wolves & Leverkusen cancellations?
If there claims of “elevated heritage detailing” are true then surely these are gna be bespoke kits right? How many times have we heard that before though cough cough New Balance
If it’s like the kits leaked on that Chinese website (sadly with the worm badge & Arial font sponsor) then at least it’s a start esp with the yellow

Actually two lads from the Wirral who went to my lads grammar school, wrong side of the river and different places. Calling them scousers is like calling you a Jack.

Someone asked Middlesbrough fans on social media for their opinion on their Castore kit and they've said it's the best they've had since Adidas, very pleased with the quality. Good to hear.
