18 years old so he's still very raw but he's got bags of ability. With the right coaching and potentially a loan move he could become a top class player. The call for him to play as a winger rather than a full back might end up what happens. Im hoping he irons out his defensive weaknesses as he develops and we could have a top top wing back for years to come. The boy is extremely comfortable on the ball.

Extremely poor defensively. Never a right back. Would have nightmares in that position in the championship. Needs to find another position.

A definite yes, loads of talent there his first year breaking through. A lot to learn but tons of potential, he’s a lot younger than Rubin and everyone says he still developing.

I seem to remember similar comments about Bagan when he first broke in to the team. He's just 18. He loses the ball too much at the monent and he needs to develop defensively. He also needs to grow physically and work in the gym too. Writing him off or judging him in his first season is ridiculous. Patience, hes raw and very young. He will.improve under BBM. This is why this new team is so exciting.

Good post because I remember a few on here including a couple of ‘prominent’ posters writing Bagan off.

While Kpakio has had a pretty poor season at times he’s 18. Some comments on here are ridiculous.

I’d rather trust my own eyes and BBMs judgement than - ‘never a right back’ crap.

Probably needs a loan, he’s just a kid with natural talent.

He scores and creates chances his defending isn't at a good enough level yet though

Bags of potential, will go on to play for a bigger club than us. Defensively suspect but at 18 its no suprise. Very good going forward which is what most managers want from full backs these days.

He has huge potential and it's totally unfair to write off a player when he's just 18.

I think a loan to League Two would help him next season. Needs to learn to defend a bit better and a loan like that could be useful to him.

I do think that if Ng doesn't sign a new contract then we should sign two RBs and loan Kpakio out.

I think there's lots of potential there, we gotta give him time. Over the first half of the season I couldn't believe how good he was. During the 2nd half it was like watching a completely different player - a bit like our last 2 games where, against Northampton, he was 1 of my shouts for MOTM but yesterday poor.

A loan is a good shout. Let him toughen up and play a full season somewhere.

I remember watching Trent Alexander Arnold getting roasted by Mendez-Lang. I thought he was not a right back, but seems to have developed OK! Ronan is a young lad with loads of potential who will get better, but we have to be patient.

The lad has skipped U-21's football straight into a L1 promotion first team, and we expected perfection? Its a crazy leap, same as Lawlor, who has given the ball away many times as well, leading to goals.

A big call for BBM over the summer. I'd send him to Belgium as a wingback or even an old fashioned right winger

I think Bagan was different he made mistakes but looked like a defensive player, I just see a good player in kpakio in a position totally wrong for him.

Going forward he looks more dangerous than all our wingers. He gets in between fullback and centre half. Defensively not quite there but Tanner didn't help him yesterday. Frustrating player Tanner imo.

Funny you bring Trent up that's exactly who I'd compare Kpakio too (though he obviously doesn't have Trents delivery which is unreal). I'm not sold on either playing right back, though Kpakio still has time to learn his trade. Is he more a right winger, has all the attributes to play there

The guy is only 18, there is a huge amount of development still to go, but he has the raw attributes to be incredibly good.
I would have thought he would get better defensively, but it’s really exciting to have an attacking full back who can contribute goals and assists

Spot on, he has a lot of potential and we have to be patient. Maybe he will become a winger, either way I am sure he will do well.

I agree. Gareth Bale was a full back at his age and look what happened to him.

I agree totally that the lad has plenty of potential but as fans we have to be patient and I'm sure he will come good. However, I don't think that at this stage of his development BBM will trust him at the next level up. He may even find himself further down the pecking order if BBM strengthens the team.
