Omari Kellyman

Voted for Kellyman in the MOTM poll today.

Would you want him back on loan next season?

Personally I would 100% say yes if it could be done.

He's scored 11 goals in the league this season, our second highest goalscorer behind Salech.

Got to remember that this is his first season in senior football and is only 20, I think he's done well.

Would definitely try and get him back.

Without a doubt yes but can't see it happening.

Genuine question for those who know these sort of things but has any player ever come here on loan for 2 seasons back to back?

This is a no brainer , he would be so crucial to the team next season , the kid is just a natural footballer and I believe he is gonna go all the way to the top
Would be such a big loan signing if we have him

Absolutely. By far the most talented player we had this season. Levels above the rest. I hope we can make it happen.

Not hard to see jonesy he is a step above without a doubt lets hope he fancies another season eith us he is not going to be in chelsea's 11 and if it's a loan to the championship it has to be us

Silly question- of course you can see throughout the season different class

Re: Omari Kellyman

It would make a lot of sense, obviously we'd like him back.
From Chelsea's point of view they can see BBM's rates him and will play him regular. If he has a good season in the championship he's probably got a value of 10m being young and English.

Was reading something on this few days ago in some magazine. In the article it said Chelsea would like him to come back here next season as he wouldn't be in 1st team plans , so they'd like him to have loan to championship club, Cardiff being ideal, as Cardiff play a good style and he's familiar with manager and surroundings.

I read that too but I don't think it's that concrete. A sports writer who covers Chelsea was asked the question and he basically said as Cardiff are in the Championship and he's had a good loan there's no reason why not, and the manager there won't be in charge loans anyway, but there wasn't really any inside info on their actual thinking

I would hope he does. But worry someone like wolves, Norwich Wrexham Burnley might be a preferred choice pushing for promotion.

He also pointed out that Chelsea like loaning players to Strasbourg.

Obviously I'm biased, but I would say that playing in the Championship better prepares him for potential Premier League football than Strasbourg.

Yes if he wants to switch from chelsea and hope to get promoted to the prem he could defenitly switch to a club with more ambition than us, which could be all the clubs in the championship we just have to hope tan sells or has a massive wobble and decides to bang everything on cardiff city fc .

Given it’s a step up in level, and he is still unlikely to get a real chance at Chelsea, I think Chelsea might welcome the opportunity to send him back to BBM at Cardiff City FC :ayatollah:

Re: Omari Kellyman

Remember her come here when the Chelsea manager at the time was a friend of BBM during his man city days so it was probably that which swayed it our way.

although I can't see him coming back either way as other clubs better than us in the championship will probably have a punt and match what Chelsea want for a season im guessing. Although we would all like him back we I can't see us matching any fees if they want one for a season loan now that manager isn't there sadly.

Agree - and can't see him getting much game time at Chelsea next season .

Re: Omari Kellyman

If we can have him back then 100% take him. I feel like he needs to play out wide, when he isolates his defender he's a box of tricks he can go inside, outside, find a cross, link with players inside him or around him and as his stats suggests he can score a goal aswell.

We had him after a long lay off. Now hes full up to speed and has confidence in his body he definitely needs that step up to championship level.

Chelsea would be gutted if he was valued at 10mil they paid 19m for him.

At 20 he’s only going to get better as has proved this season with his general progression.

I can’t imagine anyone saying they wouldn’t want him back on loan for another season.

Re: Omari Kellyman

Wouldn’t we be a much better lure for him now in the championship than we were a year ago all doom and gloom heading into league 1?

Re: Omari Kellyman

Sun May 03, 2026 12:12 pm

Its a bit of a delema for Chelsea really.... He’s not ready for 1st team action or squad but they paid ott for him in a scam with villa paid £19m he's not worth that so do they sell at reduction (still above city can afford) or will they send on loan one mor season to get him fully fit and get better chance of getting more money or ready for their 1st team? Hopefully loan at city!

So, has any player spent 2 consecutive seasons on loan with us?

Re: Omari Kellyman

Sun May 03, 2026 3:52 pm

We probably got him for next to nothing, no first-team experience, and off a major injury. With a season under his belt and proving his soundness, I bet Chelsea will want a pretty hefty loan fee.

BBM improved an other clubs player. We have a young squad, I'd rather the loan to be an experienced pro looking for a fresh scene.

I'd have him in a heartbeat, but I just don't think it will happen
