The meeting opened with MD stating he wanted to talk only about positive things, though being aware of a few negative issues that some of those present might want to raise.

He hoped such discussions could wait for another day.

But MD did add, that if we felt strongly, they should be put on the table and himself, PJ and KC would do their very best to answer them.



He thanked the fans for their support this season and said without the fans the club would not have got promotion, highlighting the support from those travelling away.





The Trust stated that it was important that the togetherness witnessed this season continued, as there has been a big disconnect between the fans and the board and owner in the past. MD replied with a 'yes and no.'

MD said there was a two-way street, pointing to negativity on message boards and continual criticism of the club. Those present suggested MD not read forums as they did not reflect the majority of the wider fan base.

Honestly, what does he expect when the club is run in such an amateur fashion by those constantly absent individuals who are in charge?

Make no mistake - this year's success is down SOLELY to the skill, hard work and dedication of the manager, players and backroom staff and nothing to do with the three stooges.

Some people may want to give Tan credit for appointing BBM but I say that's bollocks. He just got lucky. Remember Tan went chasing after Nathan Jones as his first choice and there were plenty of rumours of other managers who turned Tan down.

Luckily for him, BBM was looking for a decent sized club with an academy of promising youngsters to kick start his managerial career and was willing to work with no funds available for players.

Hmmm, seems that this Forum does have an impact then, which means that the club are at least ‘aware’ of comments and feelings of the fan base

There is a clear distinction between positive/constructive (most) and negative/destructive (some) comment but on the whole, I feel Forums like this are a good base to assess general feeling

I do not agree with the comment above (quote) “they did not reflect the majority of the wider fan base”, as it is clear on here that with some anomalies, most of us are on the same wavelength and simply ‘care’ about our club!
