Head start

Sun Apr 26, 2026 10:11 am

Well we have a head start on other clubs as we know where we are next season. But will it be a case of dumb , dumber and dumberer waiting till end of August for the last of the loan signings. What do you think?

Yep, I imagine the 3 stoodges to be dithering until last second

Let's make it easy for them. First port of call is sign trott permanently.

Then approach Liverpool to sign scalnon, and the same with kellyman (both loans) unless Tan feels like putting his hand in his pocket.
Then we need atleast another 2 additions if all the above come to fruition.

Hopefully Tan and the board have learned from previous mistakes over the years

It does seem like BBM has been left alone to run the football operation. I'm sure he's got a few players in mind. Hopefully we get to tap some of his Man City connections for the loan market now that we are playing at a decent level again. I don't think Dalaman and Choo will be a problem in preseason, how much Tan will give him is the biggest issue

I agree with this; and so long as he doesn’t hold his hand out for too many £££’s, I think he will be left to sort out his own squad

I’m told Mehmet Dalman is a spent force at the club and hasn’t been seen for some time?

Time will tell on that one but he’s certainly been quiet during a very successful season!

I’ve been told something similar.

Watch this space, it could be a very interesting preseason on and off the pitch. :occasion5:

I don't want Tan but I'd take Tan and someone who cares about the club/ has a football background to run his end of things over Dalman and Choo any day of the week.

Dalman told those at the meeting he has been very unwell as of late and underwent a big operation a little while back and is the reason he has been absent

It does not matter what BBM wants before the season starts. it will always be put out there he's happy with the team and didn't need new players irrelevant of what comes in before a ball is kicked. He has to toe the party line even if he's got zero to spend or 1m . He's got a list he would like im sure of this, what manager hasn't.

You just know it's all media bollock talk and he's probably got a list of ten better players he would like next season in early but that's how it is in today football and the whoopers above will say the exact same as per :bluescarf:
