Would You Give Robinson One Year Deal ?

Sat Apr 25, 2026 6:28 pm

I would

Its clear hes an important part of the dressing room and has the experience to chip in

Hes not got pace these days but its about positional sense too

He's on his way out, that's obvious.

BBM gave him these last two home games in the team to be kind in my opinion.

He played well today but much tougher opposition in the Championship.

I think it’s obvious BBM has made his decision with the very limited game time.
So no from me :old:

As much as I like the guy no. He simply isn't a great fit in this system, it's like when Warnock left go of Whitts. It doesn't really matter how good a player he can be your just not going to get enough out of him playing this style. Plus he's on a big wage. I think we'll be shopping him but he may be here for one more year regardless.

No sentiment in football. Best of luck CR. To be fair, he always gave his best but unfortunately his legs have gone.

Yes . And offer him a coaching role as as he has ball control skills , experience way beyond, what we have the squad, and our youngsters need developing in that skill ..

Wilock has the same subtle skill sets.

Hasn't he got a year left on his present contract?

Exactly. He's here next season anyway, so no woudn't offer an extension but he will be a useful squad player and positive influence.

He wants to sit a bit deeper nowadays, and we have a plethora of far superior players who play there.

Love Robbo and for all his issues he knows where the goals are and is the best finisher at the club.

For me he's still got a role to play.

He’s contracted until June 2027, so whether he stays for next season or moves on is the question and personally, I hope he does!

He could have gone for goal but knew how much more it meant for Salech to score :notworthy: :ayatollah: if this his farewell then a goal an an assist , thank you Robbo :bluescarf:

Yes,he scores goals.

Never. Doesn’t have the attitude for a fight. Was one of the senior players responsible for our relegation last season.

No. Not good enough. We need a challenge for Salech, not injury cover (which wasn't even Robbo)

Sadly no, if we thought he looked slow in this division, he will look even slower in the championship.

It's a step up as we all know,we cannot carry anyone,
but here we are again we may have to keep if Mr Tan does not release funds for new recruits.

Yes - for the reasons you've given. He's Championship quality anyway.

Defo keep felt sorry for him this season he scores goals still best at the club in front of goal

I do believe we need a larger squad for next season , I wouldn’t want to see anyone leave but we could need 6 additions plus Trott to survive next season .

I think his time is up, now we are moving back up a level
Both Robbo and Chambers could move on to make way for younger, faster players.

But I don't wish to criticise either player on their time at the club.

If they do stay, I can't see either having much match time next season. And we need to recruit a little more quality.

To answer the adult part of your two posts, I would like him to see out his contract, as he has a part to play on and off the pitch; so stay is my preference :ayatollah:
