As a result, many left the ground missing out on the planned celebrations.
In hindsight it would have been better to do the presentations in the directors box and let everyone on the pitch.
Very disappointing for many.

Sorry Corky but is the players and their family enjoying it really the important thing here?
I’m pretty sure the players and their families will enjoy the substantial salaries they get and the benefits they get from being a professional footballer
Let the fans have their moment ffs
Just my opinion and in no way having a go at corky here before anyone gets their nickers in a twist

Fair point mate, look its a sensitive subject because its a criminal offence to enter the field of play when the players are still on it, especially opponents players, there is a duty of care to protect them, but it becomes more muddied when its a celebration rather than something sinister. Yesterday a few young kids got knocked over but not badly hurt, then we had the pyro and a small group of fans trying to intimate the away fans, who were probably the most mildest decent fans we have had at the stadium all season.
The EFL has rules that clubs must follow or they can be fined heavily, you must do proper searching ,especially at these type of games due to the risk of Pyro, there is always good searching but it was enhanced again yesterday, you must protect the pitch you must make it as safe as possible for spectators and players, once a pitch invasion happen s, control is lost for a short time and anything can happen, fans and players can get injured not through malice but simply be the force of numbers.
Yesterday apart from a few minor incidents everything went OK and everyone eventually left the pitch and the planned celebrations were enjoyed by the players and the families , so everyone was happy , however a few thousand did leave and will complain that they had to miss things, you can never please everyone. The club wants everyone to enjoy the celebrations but its not as straight forward as you think.

Hello my friend
Looking back with a clear head and without a belly fully of beer I’m dissapointed in myself that I even wrote that and apologise, especially the sly dig about the players and salaries
Totally understand the rules and the hard job you guys and the staff, security and stewards do to make it a safe environment for everyone
As you said thankfully apart from a few small incidents in the main it was fine
No offence intended in my post, you are 100% correct it’s not as simple as people think, thank you for all the hard work you and the Team put in, we all appreciate it and always have
