Interesting but I suppose another material indicator would be average home game revenue generated from turnstile volumes. Many clubs have implemented promotional events to draw increased volumes. So, would be interesting , although probably unachievable, to understand the average positioning based on actual gate receipt revenue across the course of the season.
Would prefer match day revenue of £100,000 based on average of 10,000 attendance than £90,000 based off 11,000 attendance ( clearly on basis that club match day expenditures are the same)
An average of just under 20,000 in Lrague 1 after the last couple of poor seasons isn’t poor but I do accept that with our league position throughout the season , I would have expected to be over 20,000 average.
Season ticket sales v last year sales will also be another interesting comparison to judge fan engagement.
