Cardiff City fined by the FA:

An independent Regulatory Commission has sanctioned Cardiff City FC for breaching FA Rules E21.1 and E21.4 at its EFL Cup fixture against Chelsea FC on Tuesday 16 December 2025.

It was alleged that around the 2nd minute Cardiff City FC failed to ensure its spectators and/or supporters (and anyone purporting to be supporters) don’t use words or behave in an improper, offensive, abusive, indecent, or insulting way including a reference - whether express or implied - to sexual orientation.

Cardiff City FC subsequently admitted the charge. The Regulatory Commission imposed an action plan, £15,000 fine and formal warning following a hearing.

Although they admitted the charge, Cardiff City will be lodging an appeal because they believe the fine is excessive.

It was Chelsea pride an lgbqt branch of Chelsea supporters who reported it , we weren't the first club they reported for the same exact chant as Lincoln were reported for the same thing in the earlier round of the cup

I may be wrong here but in my 60 years supporting city the chant seemed to be aimed at young good looking goalkeepers who I think take it as a compliment. But that was before woke came into being.

It seems to work for everyone else.

The sheep shagger chant does come underneath the relevant laws for this stuff but quiet rightfully nobody ever moans about it, unlike this bunch of self-righteous self-serving cranks from Chelsea. The law is definitely bias anyway and it's not in our favour on many levels.

Why use her as your example when she's not even British or a gay footballer ? Is she a gay Chelski supporter? Very strange choice of person? She isn't or never was gay either as far as I'm aware. Is she in the news over there like she is here at the moment?

Sounds to me like a couple of gay Chelsea supporters have got a bug up their arse & have made it their mission to piss off every club they can by complaining about their fans usage of the words "rent boy" just to prove they can.

No surprise it's Chelsea supporters though, they've never had a sense of humour except when it comes to believing their team are world beaters.
