BBC Sport:

Sources at the club have indicated that owner Vincent Tan is willing to fund new signings this summer, provided head coach Brian Barry-Murphy can make a compelling enough case for those prospective recruits.

If BBM still has to convince Tan to release funds after the job he has done this year with no money then there is no hope next year.
BBM has proved himself now back him

'Compelling case'. I think Tan should just trust BBM! However, I would not be surprised if BBM does not want to sign many expensive or experienced players. He seems to prefer a much younger profile of player. I'd be happy if we sign some very talented premier league youngsters on loan along with just a couple of experienced Championship standard players. Clubs will now trust BBM with their U21s and we might attract some exceptional talent now we are back in the Championship.

Listen up Tan: the compelling case is staring you in face, its that fking obvious.
This manager has saved your arse more than those high waisted trousers by getting Cardiff straight back up, following the utter shambles of last season, created by you and gang of clowns.

Now, get your hand in your wallet and back the best manager we've had in years, he deserves it.

If you won't or can't, then please sell the club to someone who can.

That's not what the quote says. It relates to BBM having to make a case to Tan to justify the purchase of specific players, which is the norm.

Cardiff City's 1st signing for next season will be - Jack Bycroft as Tan only spends money on keepers who can score ;)

Ned, if BBM has to make a case to the dictator for funds next season after what he has achieved then we are already in trouble.

I totally agree with you, he deserves to be backed now.

Agreed, it says it all really. We all know it will be a shoe string budget and the idiots within the club or a puppet saying to the media "we are going for a top 6 finish" that's how deluded they are but what's worse some fans actually believe them after years on end of bullshit spouted out

You'll also get we tried to sing him or these players in the summer but didn't come off nonsense it's been the same shit for years in the media it's become tedious every season from them for years on end now.

If BBM left it wouldn't surprise me in truth where he will get backed to go on to better things.

I really hope tan and his absolute circus clowns under him sell up and f**k off in truth. The last transfer window and with the news of late accounts ten days before it closed should of told everyone everything what they are about.

This is stated by most owners each year The main issue is what Tan see as a compelling reason to sign a player It seems that his is a million miles away from most people’s compelling reason unfortunately

Vincent Tan and transfer funds uttered in the same breath, let's not get our hopes up we know he likes to do things on a tight budget so can't see any change there, would love him to sell up though then maybe we can really show what this club is capable of.

If tan stays but does not back BBM at the end of this season,
he will have the mother of all protests i am sure "most" fans would be absolutly fumming.

They always come out with how much they will back the manager when it's season ticket renewal time then slowly backtrack over the pre season , I see no reason why it will be any different this time around

Agreed.

Just a matter of time before we hear

" We tried everything we could to sign him"
" A better offer came in at the last minute"
"We couldn't compete with ....."
"The wage demands were too high"
