Depends how much and which club. If Bayern Munich offer 20m then I think it would be fair and you couldnt stand in the way of the lad going to a massive club. Any owner of a Championship club would be the same.

If someone offers £20m then it can't be turned down in my opinion.

My concern would be that £20 million would simply be swallowed up by Tan to cover his massive legal bills over the past 6 years.

Additionally, City should slap a 30% sell on clause on any deal, if it happened.

Where does it all end .
We bring these quality players thru the academy so bloody keep them , just like the old Man Utd way years ago ,

But we’ve always sold our best players, it’s just how football works outside the Prem.

Toshack, Leighton Phillips, Delaney, Blake, Gabbs, Collins, Earnshaw, Rambo, Kav, Johnson, Chopra, McCormack, it goes on and on.

I don’t worry too much about selling players, more about how that money is invested. If Bayern want to pay £20m+ for Lawlor that buys you 4/5 high quality Championship players if subsidises some hefty loans.

I’d love Lawlor to stay but if we have to sell then let’s use the money to build the squad.
