To all of dads friends,
Unfortunately it has reached the time where we share that dad passed away yesterday morning, peacefully in his sleep after a long fight.
It was important to him that when the time came we shared this with all his friends as he was loved by many. We know he will be greatly missed.
When we can we will make the details available for all arrangements for everyone who would like to join us with putting dad to rest.

Absolutely dreadful news, really sorry and sad to hear this.
Obviously my thoughts go out to his family.
I wouldn't say me and Ian agreed on much about the team over the last couple of seasons but he was passionate about Cardiff City and a good person.
He added a lot to this forum, both as a poster and a moderator.
Met him several times at games, including at Middlesbrough when there were about 50 us there on a midweek night.
RIP, really sad news.

This is surreal and my heartfelt condolences go out to Ian’s family, friends and loved one!
A straightforward man and lifetime Bluebird, who did very well for this Forum and I respected his direct views
Rest in peace, Ian. You will be missed but never forgotten fellow Bluebird

Truly devastated to hear this news, RIP Ian my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
I first met Ian at Blackpool away about 15 years ago when we got totally drenched by torrential rain and had a laugh about it. Saw him many times at away games after that, but the one that stands out was Preston away when we had a lift with Carls bus back to the hotel but there was no junction to stop at so were were dropped at the next junction. Ian and his friend who if i remember right was a South African guy and myself decided to cross the motorway and look for somewhere where we could get a taxi. About a mile and half later we found a place where the woman on reception kindly got us a taxi eventually.
