Wrexham & Brum spent money to get promoted.

Plymouth and Luton spent more and could still get a playoff spot? Maybe?

We stopped work on the training ground as the budgets were slashed.

Brilliant achievement by BBM, Riley and the players.

Going to be extremely difficult to do it again next season in the Championship with no money but that's what the owner will expect.

Shows what a brilliant job BBM has done.

Tan certainly knows how to put the dampers on things, I agree with you that the man will not release the purse strings to give us a fighting chance of being at the least be competitive.
Good young players showing plenty of promise led by a good young manager who always tries to play an attractive brand of football so now is the time to loosen the purse strings and see what they can do.

Exactly this. A young and inexperienced squad at the core who hopefully will build from this.

Would I be wrong in thinking this Summer is as good a time as any for Tan to sell?

He has his answer from the courts, which went against him.

He took a chance on an immediate return to the Championship, which seems to have come off.

He has a Championship club for sale again so will not get the bargain basement offers that may have been banded about when we got relegated.

not sure what mr tan is going to do who is! but if he resists any undervalue bids for our young players and backs bbm to bring in four or five players ill be quite happy. if hes not willing to back bbm to this extent i hope he gors.

Makes a lot of sense Wayne. That's exactly why it probably won't happen

I think it’s fair to say. The squad should now be seen as worth a bit more than he was offered for the club by the likes of Bales consortium last summer. Plus the stadium.
And if Wrexham could achieve a professional valuation of £350m for the 10% investment they secured, I’d like to think we’re worth at least £150m. Obviously we don’t know if any US TV revenue formed part of it. But their ground certainly isn’t worth anything near ours with a capacity of about 10k. One thing that hasn’t really been exploited here but has up there, is ground and stand sponsorships. Which should be quite useful to a new owner and add value to the club. Surprised Vinny hasn’t gone down that route yet.

The reason it won't happen is because the only way Tan will now recoup any of his money is by getting back to the Premier League.

Having got promoted having made no money available to strengthen the squad this season he'll expect and demand that BBM does the same thing again next season.

I say get a backup to Salech and sell Robinson
Buy or loan in a backup winger for Tanner in case he gets injured. We got the otherside covered Willock (Backup - Ashford)
Loan in or buy a backup left back to bagan in case of injury
Sell either osho or chambers and get a new central defender
We got right back sorted with Perry NG (Backup - Kpakio)

Buy or loan in as Backup:
1 Striker
1 Left Winger
1 Left Back
1 Central Defender

Sell:
Turnbull
Robinson
Osho/Chambers

Potential Targets: (CT - Current Team)
Conor Cody - CT - Charlton
Llas Chair - CT - QPR
Ben Brereton Diaz - Derby

Indeed, and this is why the BBM ‘revolution’ should be celebrated more that is has been of late!

The guy has worked wonders with what he inherited plus a small number of astute, relatively frugal incomings

Personally, I can’t see why we wouldn’t keep Nathan Trott, our best keeper since David Marshall, in the Championship, and my understanding is that the training ground project was ‘shelved’ because of relegation and will be resurrected once we are promoted

Time will tell on the latter but we’re going in the right direction for once! :ayatollah:
