FISH & LAWLOR BEST PAIRING.

Sun Apr 12, 2026 12:58 pm

Just like the start of the season ,yesterday they both run with the ball, and prefer to move it quicker ,
chambers on the other hand i have said all along is tidy but slow, and puts his foot on the ball and back to the keeper and across the back, this pairing is by far the best at the back.

It's still Lawlor and Osho for me.

I actually thought Fish looked a bit shaky defensively at times yesterday, was good with his feet though and I voted him MOTM at Peterborough.

Fish looks a lot less shaky than osho and has less big mistakes in his game, but it's,all about opinions.

I still feel we need a big bruiser for next season.someone who can defend as well as attack corners along side Lawlor.

Yeah - I think sometimes you need a Sean Morrison type no nonsense mountain of a defender, especially in the Championship.

That's if we keep Lawlor, expect there will be plenty of interest in him for big money over the season. Just hope we can keep him for one more season.

But I agree about needing a physical CB for the Championship.

When I think of a pair of centre backs who were highly physical and took no nonsense, look no further than Wes Morgan and Robert Huth in Leicester's Premier League winning team. They were outstanding.

Agree 100%

I'm still not sure what the best pairing actually is. I know that Lawlor is in it as he's the best center half in this league and will be the best center half in the championship next season if we can keep him.

Chambers I've never been sold on he's a high quality player but it's never really worked for him here.

Fish is a work in progress, does make a few mistakes but is very good in the air, he isn't a natural with the ball though.

Osho I actually really like think he's a very good player who had a bad start

There is a reason why Lawlor and Fish is our best defending pair at the back.
Lawlor and Fish are solid, strong and can tackle and keep the overall match disciplined and calm.

Most importantly they make little to no mistakes when playing.
Chamber can make mistakes and Osho is a bit erratic.

Spot on sam, lawlor over chambers and fish over osho for me every time if there not available fair enough osho has not settled drops big clangers and so does chambers he gets caught in possession and if its a sprint with a striker he sadly is outpaced mostly.

Osho, good one :laughing6: nice lad but a liability.

Fish and Lawler.

They've all played there part this season, but for consistency it has to be Fish and Lawlor

My opinion is that Osho and Lawlor are our two best centre backs. Osho is quick, physical and great at one on one defending.

Yes he's made a few mistakes but people have also ignored several great games he's had. Think he'll cut out the mistakes and be a big part of our team next season.

People just love a scapegoat, and Osho has become one of them to some.

Ned i don't think he has been a scapegoat he has just dropped more b.llocks than any of the other defenders that's why he has been suspended twice.

The second red was outrageous

His only red as I remember it. And it was never a red card.

If osho plays every game like he did away at Exeter he will start with lawlor most games as he was a cut above that day , the red card was just a full blooded tackle that was a yellow at best , osho just like rubin comes in for a lot of stick , sometimes justified a lot of the time it's not

Lawlor and Osho for me.

Fish is too negative and always looks for sideways or backwards options first.
When he does knock it long it’s often over hit. Osho despite his occasional theatrics and moments of madness, is a better footballer.

I loved his interview and tried hard to forgive him, but then he went on to make further mistakes. If he could cut them out, he would be a good player, but I've seen no evidence that he can cut them out.
