About Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield are in their second successive season in this league, having been relegated from the Championship in 2024.

Last season they finished 10th.

They were one of the favourites for promotion at the start of the season. They are currently 8th with 62 points from 42 games.

Club Connections

Neil Warnock of course managed us and took us to the Premier League.

He then went on to manage Huddersfield and keep them in the Championship.

Jak Alnwick left us and signed for Huddersfield.

The Opposition's Manager

Liam Manning was appointed Huddersfield manager in January.

He previously had spells in charge of MK Dons, Oxford, Bristol City and Norwich City.

Unfortunately he had to take compassionate leave until the end of the season in March.

Martin Drury and Jon Stead will take charge of the team until he is able to hopefully return.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Bojan Radulovic has eight league goals this season.

Cameron Humphreys has impressed in midfield this season whilst on loan from Ipswich.

Referee

Andrew Humphries will take charge of this game.

He has refereed 23 matches this season, showing 70 yellow cards - an average of 3.04 per game.

He has also shown three red cards.

Head To Head - Last Five Meetings

We have won three of the last five meetings, with them winning two.

In the return fixture at CCS in December, we won 3-2.

Team News - Predicted Line-Ups

Huddersfield Town: Alnwick, Gooch, Balker, Wallace, Roughan, Mumba, Humphreys, Ledson, Harness, May, Radulovic

Huddersfield Town plan to assess Lee Nicholls and Lynden Gooch after the pair were forced off in the 3-3 draw with Wycombe Wanderers.
The pair were among Huddersfield’s strongest performers in a pulsating affair at the Accu Stadium, but neither saw the final whistle.

Nicholls had to be replaced by Jak Alnwick between the sticks after a knock to the head before Gooch was withdrawn for Lasse Sorensen.

Lee Nicholls and Lynden Gooch updates
Regarding Nicholls, he said: “We'll reassess him again. Obviously, I've not spoken to the medical staff yet. He had an issue with his vision and stuff, so again, similar to the George [Sebine] scenario really, you just do not take any chances.

“We get him off the field immediately and he'll be reassessed. He was on the pitch afterwards and seemed okay, but the protocol will be extremely stringent with him because he's had a couple of incidents already prior to this over the last couple of years, so there'll be no corners cut, there'll be no stone unturned.

“That will be a really full protocol. In terms of timescale on that, I don't know, but I don't think it's a quick turnaround.”
Wing-back Gooch, meanwhile, was removed from the field of play due to issues with his calf.

I think Saturday will have knocked the stuffing out of them. They went 3-2 up in the 96th minute but ended up drawing.

Probably ends their hopes of top six so I think that may have an impact on their performance.

Whereas the confidence will be high in our squad after Saturday, so I think we'll win.

Huddersfield are fighting for a playoff place, so it could be a tough match. I would take a draw. :bluescarf:

Their chances of the top six are probably gone after they threw away two points on Saturday. Mathematically they could do it, but extremely unlikely.

Their fans are saying the same.

After the (slight) relief of a home win on Saturday, we can go and play our own game against Huddersfield, which seems to be more effective away from home! :ayatollah:

Replays suggesting Huddersfield should already be 1-0 up! :(

We were lucky there and have to take advantage!

Not great from Ng going forward and we seem to have an aversion to shooting unless there’s a parting of the seas! :(

Tanner then has a pop from 25 yards and it flies just over the bar!
