It was the biggest crowd in Division 3 with just under 2,000 from Bolton who I was under the impression sold out everywhere with Bradford and Plymouth with no excuses

Again, look at the positives and stop finding the negatives. Like all Clubs the crowds will come with prolonged success

Im not having a go at you Monty but you’re hoping for something that’s unrealistic, I agree with you in principle . The People of Cardiff don’t in big numbers support the local football club and that is something that should be looked into and addressed. I don’t know why, I’m a fan from outside of the City, if it wasn’t for fans like us the crowds would be even worse so it’s really demoralising to the ones who do make the effort when they see the crowds being criticised

Yeah we know, we know where you and
Annis lives because you have let everyone know multiple times

Do it once, but when you carry on it starts to sound like your milking it

I’m not sure how long you have been supporting Cardiff mate but our crowds at least this level are through the roof to anything they have been in the previous 30 years so just enjoy it

I didn't expect anything near the Lincoln crowd, but I did think we'd get a couple of thousand more

There's a fair chance we'll get promoted before the Vale game but I hope we can still get decent crowds for the last two games, even with the season over for us (in a good way).

All the crowds were low 30/40 years ago not just cardiff and not trying to milk anything bit of a strange comment from you budd .

Not a strange comment at all

You consistently feel the need to tell people how far you travel from on any crowd post, do you want a medal? I know people who travel further and are humble about it

You are also the poster on here who posts the most about crowds, despite the fact our crowds at this level are the highest they have been in years and we are on the verge of promotion

The whole reason this conversation is even taking place is because on the day Cardiff City beat Bolton Wanderers at home 2-0 to pretty much secure promotion in front of the biggest crowd in the Division is because you chose to reply to it with a negative comment

Let that sink in

Good morning all....i take your points on crowds etc..But lets try and be positive with each other,,slagging off crowd,,then the players get it..We are nearly back up to the hardest league in the world...Lets hope things will continue to go forward..and being positive will help everybody...if the city made it free for one game to get in...We still wouldnt fill ground..ha..ha....and i have been to ninian park midweek and under 2000 there...And i dont live in Cardiff.....So we going up..great...Lets stay positive....And hope positive things happen between now and ..Start of next Season.... Clowns please leave our club.. :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

I agree with Monty. The weather was great on Saturday, the match was kind of a 6 pointer, you had a long break due to internationals and we're going for automatic promotion with a relatively young, inexperienced side.

Anecdotally, we've had Bolton fans saying they thought our crowd was under par given the circumstances.

It was under par and our attendances continue to disappoint, particularly given our status as a capital city and biggest club in Wales.

Could the club do more with initiatives to get the punters in? Yes they probably could. Its also possible that the previous 3 dreadful campaigns might have killed off the enthusiasm of several thousand occasional / fairweather supporters.

I think the reason the stadium was not a dell out was being the club never promoted the game more
They needed to build the hype and entice fans to come and watch what a promotion decider
But we will never get sell outs because we are not in the premier league.
Saying that season ticket sales could boost from this season due to the fact that big clubs could drop down
to the championship....Tottenham. But in general because we could see 2 welsh derbies including the severnside derby with bristol and other big teams like Wolves who are well known by all us fans and Burnley.

Exactly that was my point and only dissapoint on the day jeees you are not allowed to comment these days without some tool telling you your negative on a forum, but fail to mention all the positive stuff you may post such as my post oN WILLOCK HELPS US GET PROMOTED and the praise I give him and many other posts.

I agree 100% with both of you / The Crowd should of been Bigger.

Losing out to Lincoln, both in the match we lost at home and losing out to them for the league title has affected our crowds for subsequent matches, despite the fact that promotion is still a certainty.
Had we beat Lincoln and still been challenging for the title, I think attendances would be a few thousand higher.
