Welcome to Wrexham Extended

Fri Apr 10, 2026 5:37 pm

Love em or loathe em you can't fault their owners and their pushing the club forward. Welcome To Wrexham has been extended for 4 more seasons on the FX channel here in the USA & Disney+ everywhere else.

https://www.avclub.com/welcome-to-wrexh ... until-2029

Can only be good for Wales as well as Wrexham, bringing more people to the country even if it's just from being curious about the place.

I can’t Stand Wrexham

But Wish we had their Owners

I get why some want owners like that but personally I don't, always been against us having celebrity owners.

It's part of the reason I was so against Bale's potential bid last summer.

Would rather have a new owner who is barely known, even if that means less success. Just not a fan of this whole celebrity owner thing personally.

I'm sure Wrexham fans feel different though, the real Wrexham fans.

Happy for Wrexham
Find it entertaining I do
So glad the spotlight will be on Wales and it will only get more popular as the Euros 2028 happen with the UK hosting it.
Makes you wish Cardiff did something similar
Loved back in the day of the the old dvd's of the season reviews that Cardiff made

You’d take us being less successful for lower profile investors? Seems like an odd one that mate. Surely you’d want us to be as successful as possible? (As long as they don’t try to rebrand us)

I just really don't want the circus of famous owners. Even with Tan, the media were constantly talking about him in our first PL season. Would be even worse with someone like Bale.

I believe owners should be just owners and not seen as some sort of cheerleader. Brighton have been successful but their owner mostly stays out of the limelight.

I agree Worcester the problem wrexham will face is when Ryan Reynolds decides to sell his shares

If he goes their whole business model collapses
Because lets face it Ryan is the reason they are getting all the press(anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial)

no one is going to care about Wrexham if he goes and the media would lose all interest in Wrexham and anything they are doing on or off the pitch

Why would any media circus you mentioned be of detriment to club or its supporters. Am I missing something?

So when/if he leaves they will be in a much better place probably establishing themselves in the prem, for another mega rich known or unknown owner to step in with the clout to move them to the next level?
You wouldn’t want that?

It’s really not that much different from what happened to us, we had the showman brought the fans together revitalised the club and got us moving up the leagues as far as he could, and then eventually sold to the Malaysians with some real money which took us forward even further , which at the time had the blessing of the fans and we even played our part want them here waving the Malaysian flag at games. Our story is not at a good point at the moment, but doesn’t mean that will happen for everyone.

They need to get to the prem first and maybe they will but staying there is even harder we know that better than anyone

The problem they have is when we were coming up it was about bringing fans in from the area and selling them on the Cardiff city dream

Wrexham are relying on media attention and casuals who are not local to the area who have no reason to like Wrexham other than their favourite movie star currently owns them

I see your point. But we’re not a massively supporterd club either, even with our catchment area there’s little interest in us, so maybe the glamour owner is exactly what we need to stir up that interest and get them hooked as we have more potential to go further.

To be fair I agree with that
