Omer Riza has a new job:

Omer Riza has been appointed assistant manager of Italian Serie B side Cesena.

Their manager is the former Arsenal, Chelsea and England full back Ashley Cole.

Riza briefly played with Cole in the Arsenal youth team, and it is believed he has been given this job by Cesena at the request of Cole.

I wonder if he got this job on merit !!

I was hoping it was at the Liberty Stadium but you can’t have everything!

Wish him all the best, though! He did okay here for a while and I still think he was ‘stitched’ by Omar Riza!

Nice bloke but utterly useless as a manager. Never should have gone down last year. I wish him well his new job but hes coach or an assistant manager at best.

He does seem like a nice guy but terrible as a manager. Players did him no favours at all , but was clearly out of his depth here
